    Responsibilities We offer two different schedule options for our General Laborers. YOU choose the schedule that works for your lifestyle. * Weekly rotating shift between 1st and 2nd (1st: 6am - 2pm, 2nd: 2pm - 10pm) or * Straight 3rd shift (3rd: 10pm - 6am) The following lists the job tasks and responsibilities that the General Laborer may be performing: * Responsible for correct reporting of time, production, and material usage. * Set up of the machine including preparing materials and retrieving paper from storage. * Using a computer, enter information relating to the production run including job information, measurements etc. * Reports irregularities, maintenance needs and quality problems to necessary staff * Assists crew in running, changing over, starting up and cleaning the machine * Checks raw materials and corrugated paper inventory to what is needed for each production run to ensure shortages are prevented * Accurately use measuring tools to verify dimensions on corrugated board to ensure a quality product * Troubleshoots machine issues and make recommendations on improving the process * Keeps work area clean and orderly * Other job tasks and projects as assigned We are also looking for General Laborers who are self-motivated individuals willing to work safely in a team-based system. They need to have the ability to schedule their work, prioritize their workload, and complete tasks in a timely manner. A desire for continuous improvement and quality workmanship are required to meet our customers increasing demands Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent is required. Previous manufacturing experience is a plus but not required. Good human relations skills and strong verbal communication skills are required. KEY RESPONSIBILITES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Unload railcars. Perform routine maintenance to assure stoneyard runs efficiently Perform and document all required stoneyard inspections Ensure all housekeeping is maintained in a clean and orderly fashion Perform lawn maintenance when necessary Regular, reliable attendance at the worksite or assigned work location Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience/Education/Skill Excellent verbal, written and communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude that fosters effective relationships Willingness and ability to do heavy labor Willingness to learn how to run Bobcat and Front End Loader Willingness to work at other locations as needed. Good safety and driving records. Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule, including swing shift, graveyard shift, over time and weekends as required. Ability to work near, around or on light or heavy equipment.
