Responsibilities We offer two different schedule options for our General Laborers. YOU choose the schedule that works for your lifestyle. * Weekly rotating shift between 1st and 2nd (1st: 6am - 2pm, 2nd: 2pm - 10pm) or * Straight 3rd shift (3rd: 10pm - 6am)
The following lists the job tasks and responsibilities that the General Laborer may be performing:
* Responsible for correct reporting of time, production, and material usage.
* Set up of the machine including preparing materials and retrieving paper from storage.
* Using a computer, enter information relating to the production run including job information, measurements etc.
* Reports irregularities, maintenance needs and quality problems to necessary staff
* Assists crew in running, changing over, starting up and cleaning the machine
* Checks raw materials and corrugated paper inventory to what is needed for each production run to ensure shortages are prevented
* Accurately use measuring tools to verify dimensions on corrugated board to ensure a quality product
* Troubleshoots machine issues and make recommendations on improving the process
* Keeps work area clean and orderly
* Other job tasks and projects as assigned
We are also looking for General Laborers who are self-motivated individuals willing to work safely in a team-based system. They need to have the ability to schedule their work, prioritize their workload, and complete tasks in a timely manner. A desire for continuous improvement and quality workmanship are required to meet our customers increasing demands
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Previous manufacturing experience is a plus but not required. Good human relations skills and strong verbal communication skills are required.
Compensation and Benefits
As a General Laborer, you'll start out making $24.10 per hour on day one with room to grow. You will have access to our two health and wellness clinics. The primary duties of the Miscellaneous Labor position include safely performing a wide range of tasks that include stacking corrugated product, conducting quality checks, material set-up, learning to operate a variety of production equipment, and maintaining a clean and organized work-space. Responsibilities
* Operate a variety of manufacturing equipment, including flexo-folder/gluers, corrugators, and intricate die-cut machines

About The Opportunity
The General Laborer will assist the operators at various machine centers throughout the plant during the shift and fill in for partner coverage when they are out due to illness, a leave of absence or on vacation.The General Laborer will operate a variety of machines, including flexographic press, die-cutters, slitters, folder-gluers, corrugator, etc. Job tasks may include, but not limited to: collating, stripping, bundling, handwork and pack outs. In addition, the general labor will be required to follow the customer specifications on the shop card to complete accurate counts on work in process. They will assist in setting up and cleaning of equipment. They will be responsible for completing thorough quality checks of product and fill out required paperwork timely and efficiently.Job Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
Ability to work 8-12 hours in high temperatures exceeding 90 degrees.
Ability to stand on your feet between 8-12 hours.
Ability to bend, stoop, squat, climb and reach.
Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
Work hours, compensation & benefits:
The starting wage for this position is $26.25/hour with opportunities to train in other positions paying up to $30/hour.
This position rotates on an 8-hour shift, working Monday - Friday, rotating weekly between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift.
This position may be required to work overtime up to 12 hours/day or on Saturdays depending on the volume of workload.

Job Duties:
Maintain yard.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
* Pick up trash around the yard
* Dump trash from the shop and fuel island
* Operate equipment to sweep the yard
* Organize equipment for better parking
* Help clean around the shop area and fab shop
Qualifications:
* Ability to operate equipment.
* Can lift a minimum of 70 pounds.
* Must be willing to work overtime including weekends with minimal notice.
* Previous experience working outside helpful.
* Ability to work with minimum supervision.
