• What makes Green Chimneys a great place to work

  Green Chimneys is a place to grow and to make a "career home." We are built up of diverse professionals in Special Education, Clinical Services, Social Services, Residential Childcare, Farm and Wildlife, Outdoor Education, and Community Outreach. Both of our campuses (Brewster, NY & Carmel, NY) are gorgeous settings including farms, walking paths, lakes and gardens. You see children and employees alike walking dogs, eating free meals in our cafeteria, and even using our zipline! With a tightknit campus, we can access support from each other for the sake the students. Our woodshop teacher can walk over to see the social worker, our residential counselor and see how a student did a the farm, a recreation specialist can share with the speech therapist how they have improved. Green Chimneys is a place were we all become better together.

Green Chimneys is also an animal-friendly, nature-focused community that believes in the dignity and worth of all living things. We are div always learning and mentoring each other to grow professionally. The over 300 animals also teach us too!
