Our founder, Doctor Jeff Anderson’s heritage of healing and improving life has been the foundation of physical growth, medical advancements, and patient focused care since 1928.
Under his leadership, Anderson Infirmary became Jeff Anderson Memorial Hospital and, in 1965, opened an entirely new state-of-the-art facility.
When the hospital expanded to 120 beds it was renamed Jeff Anderson Memorial Hospital, then renamed Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center in 1975.
On January, 1, 2011, Anderson took ownership of substantially all of the assets of Riley Hospital.
Anderson Regional began an affiliation with the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2017.
In 2019, the Anderson Regional Cancer Center became the first center in the United States to treat cancer using RaySearch Laboratories treatment planning system and Accuray Incorporated's Tomotherapy treatment delivery system concurrently.
