Cleans, visually inspects and returns all Mobile screening equipment to proper storage locations in preparation for the next event. Ensures all inspection, maintenance, county stickers and licenses are kept up to date on all vehicles and reviews annually with Mobile Operations Manager; Sets up, maintains and breaks down registration area as directed by Team Leader. Works independently to complete assignments without close supervision; Improves inefficiencies and minimizes repetitive errors by changing/improving workflow processes; Uses a logical process to identify the cause of problems and develop appropriate solutions. Selects an appropriate method of communication for audiences and adjusts communication style when needed. Reports safety hazards/violations and takes appropriate action to protect the environment and guests until help arrives - if necessary. Communicates scheduling changes to patients, staff, physicians and patient representatives in a timely and professional manner. Assists with patient registration as requested. May perform additional duties as assigned. The Dental Mobile Unit is designed to address the oral health needs of children in the East Cleveland School System. The dental mobile unit also serves to provide dental access to other populations as determined by Northeast Ohio Neighborhood Health Services, Inc. The Dental Mobile Unit Driver manages the unit and assists in its operation, including patient registration and business office responsibilities. Education: High School Graduate or equivalent. Minimum Qualifications: At least 22 years of age. Must have a valid Class B CDL driver's license with a clean driving record. Minimum 3 years driving experience. Good driving record [no more than one (1) moving convictions/accidents in the past three (3) years or no more than two (2) moving convictions/accidents in the past (5) years. (speeding, tailgating, improper passing, failure to yield, illegal turns, running red light/stop sign, are examples of moving violations), no license suspensions in the past ten years (suspensions for physicals, insurance lapses, failure to pay fine, and failure to appear are exempt under the ten year rule), and no driving convictions related to alcohol or illegal drugs. Knowledge of the Greater Cleveland area is required. Ability to lift at least 50 pounds. Public and/or community health interest or experience is essential. Strong oral and written communication skills. Good character and positive work history. Consent to annual background check and alcohol/drug screen. Pass a background check (MVR, Criminal, and Extended Employment Verification) annually. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, and computer skills including, Microsoft Office suite competency. Fluency in Spanish/English is a strong asset. Key Responsibilities: - Safely drive and operate the mobile clinic vehicle to various designated locations as per the schedule. - Ensure the mobile clinic is set up and ready for operation upon arrival at each site. - Perform routine checks and maintenance of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, including monitoring fuel levels, oil, and other essential fluids. - Coordinate with healthcare staff to ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are loaded and secured for transit. - Assist in the setup and breakdown of the mobile clinic at each location, ensuring all equipment is handled with care. - Maintain accurate records of vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or issues encountered during transit. - Follow all traffic laws and regulations to ensure the safety of passengers, patients, and other road users. - Communicate effectively with healthcare staff and patients to provide a positive and supportive environment. - Report any vehicle maintenance needs or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel promptly. - Support the healthcare team in non-driving duties as needed to ensure smooth clinic operations.
