Greene County Career Center in Xenia, Ohio, serves all members of its county with career preparation and enhancement programs, technical training for high school students, basic skills courses and personal enrichment classes. Greene's programs are divided into those designed for adults and those strictly offered to high school students. The adult division has several sub-divisions, including one consisting of career development courses. These train students for such professions as Electrical Wiring, Medical Assisting, and Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning. Also within the adult division are career enhancement courses, which provide shorter-term training for occupations in: *Business *Childcare *Firefighting *Law Enforcement For the adult learner who hasn't completed high school, Greene provides GED preparation courses and even on-site testing as well. Greene's other educational branch exists exclusively for high school students who wish to get occupational training in fields like: *Agriculture *Construction *Health Services *Human Services Since Greene's is committed to meeting the educational and personal needs of its entire community, the school also provides enrichment courses, which range from hobbies like Arts and Crafts, Cooking, Dance and Music to more practical areas like Personal Finance. Greene's high school students attend tuition-free, though there may be fees for books and materials.
