    Job Description LANDSCAPE CREW LEADER LANDSCAPE CONSTRUCTION CREW LEADER Summary: With the guidance of the Superintendent and/or Project Manager, oversees the efficient operation and installation of Landscape designs while operating within the budget guidelines. Works in cooperation with Landscape Design Dept. department, Estimator, Purchaser, Facility Manager, and Nursery Manager, with quality customer satisfaction as top priority. Responsible for installing plant material and landscape material in a professional manner according to EMI standard operating procedures. Manage job sites on a daily basis and provide work direction for Crew Laborers. Responsible for vehicle operation, equipment operation, and adherence to EMI-established safety procedures. As well as performing the following duties. Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Trains Crew Members on correctly and safely operating all equipment. * Coordinate & prioritize daily work schedule with Project Manager. * Obtains pertinent paperwork and job files prior to starting any new jobs. * Complete all daily paperwork i.e. timesheets, T&M tickets, field reports, accident reports and any other applicable paperwork. * Maintains tool inventory and coordinate equipment damage with Project Manager. * Maintains all equipment assigned to you crew, which includes greasing, cleaning fluid checks, and monitoring preventative maintenance needs. * Conducts all safety tailgate meetings as prescribed by the Safety Manager. * Enforces and supports all company policies and procedures at all times. * Assists Project Manager in identifying up-sells. * Oversees daily job site quality control. * Communicates on a daily basis with Project Manager. * Prepares and plans the next day's work. * Evaluates Crew Members and Certifies Individual Training Tasks. * Manages and delegates responsibility. * Completes basic equipment repair when needed. * Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. We are looking for Experienced Groundskeepers to complete our 5812 Maintenance Team! PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Physically walk the community on a regular basis and remove litter, trash, debris, limbs, pet droppings, etc. from grounds, breezeways, landing, common hallways, pool area (if applicable), laundry rooms, mail rooms (if applicable), dumpster areas, recreation areas, parking lots, driveways, walkways. Clear sidewalks, stoops, and/or stairwells of snow and ice with use of broom, shovel snow blower or other equipment; distribute salt/deicer; plow snow from driveways. Perform regularly scheduled light checks. Clean pool (may be required to add chemicals depending on state regulations) Perform “trash out” duties at vacant apartments on a daily basis. Remove all abandoned furniture, trash, and/or boxes. Remove to dumpster or storage area, as assigned. Transfer trash left outside of dumpster into dumpster. Pick up and sweep area. Detail community on a regular basis. Clean and rake shrub areas; shovel mud when necessary. Use blower to keep sidewalks and walking areas clean of loose grass and/or other debris. Repair and/or replace windows, screens, sliding doors, etc. Perform routine maintenance as requested. Assist with various physical tasks as directed, such as tearing down fences, digging holes etc. Help clean and maintain storage areas. Perform interior and exterior painting duties when requested. Change locks and/or make keys when requested. Perform work-area clean up and safety related duties. Perform any additional duties assigned by supervisor. What You'll Do: Maintain and enhance the landscaping of our grounds, including mowing, trimming, planting, and mulching Perform seasonal tasks such as leaf removal, snow clearing, and de-icing walkways Inspect and maintain outdoor facilities, including playgrounds, walkways, and parking areas Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment like mowers, trimmers, and snow blowers Assist with minor repairs and upkeep of outdoor structures and amenities Ensure the grounds are safe, clean, and inviting for employees and visitors Collaborate with the maintenance team on special projects and events What You Bring: Experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or a related field Knowledge of plants, gardening techniques, and grounds maintenance equipment Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions A positive attitude and a love for working outdoors Relevant certifications (e.g., pesticide application, arboriculture) are a plus Your Benefits: Paid medical insurance for employee.     You are someone who can work independently and loves being outside while taking pride in the beautification of your hotel or resort. you are the Groundskeeper. As Groundskeeper, you will: * Be Able to Create and Maintain Beauty - including keeping the outside of the hotel/resort attractive for the guest. Job duties will include debris removal, furniture realignment, flower bed watering, weeding and planting as well as sweeping passage and walkways. In winter, your role may include removing snow when weather dictates. * Be a Safety & Security Agent - following your hotel's established safety and security policies and procedures.
