The primary duties/responsibilities of the MemberServiceRepresentative (MSR) include quality, responsive, and professional memberservice to all members and staff of GreenState Credit Union in all daily transactions and inquiries. Provides information and/or answers questions regarding transactions and all Credit Union products and services. This position is the front line to our members and the face of the credit union. Service starts with this key role and they are our service champions. The qualified candidate will be member focused, show excellence in accuracy and all their work, demonstrate integrity, share one vision through teamwork and continually look for improvement within their role.

Pay range for this hourly position is $17.39 - $20.33/hr with a monthly incentive opportunity and a progressive benefits package.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Performs essential duties and responsibilities in the following areas which may include, but are not limited to those listed and are subject to change:
Adheres to the Credit Union Service Standards in carrying out GreenState's mission and vision. Demonstrates a positive memberservice (internal and external) focus at all times, greeting members and guests with a smile and eye contact immediately upon their arrival, using their name or acknowledging them, and thanking them for their business. Demonstrates teamwork in all interactions with coworkers and in the completion of all duties and responsibilities. Ensures confidentiality of member information. Supports a diverse and inclusive work environment. Ensures confidentiality of members account records and account information. Request identification whenever necessary and provide account information to only those members listed as primary or joint owners. Makes weekly outbound service calls to members. Answers member questions or refer members to appropriate departments or supervisors. Assists with member account discrepancies, statement problems, complaints and escalates as necessary. Performs member transactions including; deposits, withdrawals, transfers, check cashing, loan payments, credit card payments, cash advances, bond redemptions, disbursement of official checks, sale of money orders, cashier checks, savings bonds, and promotional sales materials. Builds member relationships by recognizing their financial needs and meeting those needs with the appropriate GreenState product and service or referring them to the specialized department (Wealth Management, Commercial, Mortgage, GreenState Insurance etc.) to be served. Maintains a satisfactory balancing record. Educates members and staff of the features and benefits of all our products and services. Refers products and services that benefit members to achieve team goals. Accepts and examines checks for endorsements and negotiability. Determine availability of funds based on regulations and policy. Place holds on accounts for uncollected funds when necessary, provide member with the proper documentation. Processes mail and night deposit transactions. Completes all forms including negotiable instrument logs, vault cash advances/turn-ins, direct deposit, member check orders. Participates in Opening and Closing procedures. Organize the MSR area and turn off all equipment (computers, copier, adding machines, lights). Ensure all confidential information is secured at the end of the day. Complete daily work including balancing and reconciliation of drawer offages. Monitors and manage the vault including cash disbursements, balancing, and end of day lock-up. Ensure that enough, but not excessive, funds are always on hand . Assists in security procedures. Has access to and is accountable for office keys and combinations. Balances, maintains, and corrects the coin machine and cash recyclers. Plays a vital role in enriching the community by participating in community service organizations and/or Credit Union sponsored events.
Job Requirements/Expectations
Interpersonal skills to represent the Credit Union in a positive way. High energy with the ability to approach individuals to engage in conversation, build rapport, establish and maintain member loyalty. Thorough knowledge of deposit products and regulations. Accuracy in the handling of cash, recording daily transactions, and attention to detail. Good telephone manners and techniques. Ability to work with minimal direction and exercise sound judgment. Member account problem-solving skills. Proficiency with related computer applications, spreadsheets, word processing, and database applications. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships as a cohesive team. High school diploma or the equivalent (i.e. GED). Cash handling, sales, and customer service experience desired. Must be bondable. Reports to work punctually, works all scheduled hours, and works overtime as necessitated by business demand.

The Wealth Management Client Associate - Advisor Development Program (WMCA - ADP) role is an entry role into our Advisor Development Program where the destination role is becoming a full-scale Financial Advisor at Merrill. The Consumer Loan ServicingRepresentative plays an integral part of the lending function at the credit union with the following responsibilities:

One to three years of similar experience.
Excellent computer skills.
Knowledge of lending process is helpful.

Financial ServicesRepresentatives are one of the primary points of contact for SCU members. They are responsible for creating an exceptional member experience by engaging with members and educating them on the products and services SCU has to offer. A typical day will look like:
Responsible for identifying, educating, presenting and cross selling SCU products and services to new and existing members in accordance with SCU's member engagement model.
Responsible for meeting individual sales and operational goals as well as assisting the branch team in achieving branch goals.
Recognize cross sale opportunities through needs based financial conversations, referring members to mortgage, business lending/services and investments.
Ensures consistent delivery of SCU's member engagement model leveraging technology including tablets, enhanced ATM's and other digital service channels available to SCU members.
Maintain cross functional capabilities. Process financial transitions for members including opening and closing of accounts. Input, review, negotiate and close member loan application requests. Process deposits and withdrawals from accounts. Efficient in all teller duties as needed.
Provides one or more of the following services for members, in person, by telephone or by mail:
Processes deposits to share, share draft, and other savings accounts.
Disburses cash or check withdrawals.
Provides money orders and cash advances.

About the Role
We're looking for a positive, customer-focused go-getter to join our team as a Financial ServicesRepresentative (combination of Teller and Personal Banker). In this role, you'll be the friendly face our customers rely on for everyday banking, while also helping them discover products and services that make their financial lives easier.
What You'll Do:
Greet customers and process transactions quickly and accurately
Balance and maintain your cash drawer daily
Open and close accounts (checking, savings, CDs, NOW accounts, etc.)
Provide exceptional customer service and build long-term relationships
Cross-sell banking products and services based on customer needs
Perform basic loan administration as needed
Follow all policies, procedures, and regulations
What We're Looking For:
Cash handling experience
Strong customer service & communication skills
Ability to multitask and pay close attention to detail
Professional appearance and demeanor
Sales experience preferred (but not required)
College degree may be substituted for experience - we'll train the right person

About the Role
Financial ServiceRepresentatives are one of the primary points of contact for SCU members. They are responsible for creating an exceptional member experience by engaging with members who walk into the branch, over the phone and through outbound calling efforts. During their conversations, Financial ServiceRepresentatives are to educate members on the products and services SCU has to offer and resolve any questions or issues that arise.

What You'll Do
Responsible for identifying, educating, presenting and cross selling SCU products and services to new and existing members in accordance with SCU's member engagement model.
Responsible for meeting individual sales and operational goals as well as assisting the branch team in achieving branch goals.
Maintain cross functional capabilities. Process financial transitions for members including opening and closing of accounts. Input, review, negotiate and close member loan application requests. Process deposits and withdrawals from accounts. Efficient in all teller duties as needed.
Daily opens and closes his/her teller terminal, accounts for cash assigned, received, disbursed. Accurately balances to teller terminal close report and remits daily work to appropriate supervisor for disposition.
Perform required OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) screens as outlined in the Non-Member Verafin Processing policy and reports any positive matches to the BSA Group. Complies with BSA requirements of completing CTR and SAR.
Fosters and maintains relationships with members. Responsible for providing prompt, professional, helpful, knowledgeable and courteous memberservice. Investigates member concerns, researches and recommends a resolution. Ensures we are meeting expectations with memberservice satisfaction results.

What You Bring to the Table:
A bachelor's degree in Finance , Business Management or Administration, or have an equivalent combination of education, training and experience (1 year of work experience can substitute 1 year of education)
You've spent at least 2 years working in a customer-facing role
MUST be flexible to work a hybrid schedule (3 days a week in office)
Even better if you:
Have at least 2 years' experience working in a call center environment or within a financial institution
You can articulate your experience working on a team and in a highly collaborative environment

Salary range for the position: $24.04 an hour. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
