Responsibilities
Proper safety equipment must be worn at all times. (i.e. ear plugs, hairnet, beard net, arm sleeves for tote packing, and safety glasses.)
Monitor and ensure quality of product in a high pace manufacturing setting.
Complete the corresponding documentation for each order.
Review work order routing notes for customer required packaging instructions.

Summary:
Scotty's Contracting and Stone is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our
Heavy Civil Division
. This safety-sensitive role is responsible for operating a variety of large construction equipment, including but not limited to Loaders, Backhoes, Track Hoes, Haul Trucks, and Water Trucks. The position also involves general labor tasks such as shoveling, sweeping, minor maintenance, and assisting with mechanical work to support heavy civil job site operations. Identify issues and provide solutions to road blocks, resulting in improvements to department processes and procedures
Record and report all errors and discrepancies including internal process failures and external vendor compliance
Function as a support liaison to all departments in processing of current orders and improvement opportunities
Inspect, label, package, and process inventory from returns into active/sellable inventory
Sort and ensure returns inventory is assigned and transferred to correct warehouse designations (RCV vs 3PL)
Responsible for the timely reporting of problems in the work area to appropriate personnel as well as maintaining 5S, housekeeping, safety, and preventative guidelines
Ensure each job performed is within set procedural inventory standards and conforms to all requirements of internal and external customers. Certified through formal observation and feedback process.
