Responsible for the supervision, training, and management of the campus food service staff and operation of kitchen to ensure that nutritional requirements and appropriate quantities of food are prepared and served in accordance with TDA, USDA, District guidelines, State and local health department regulations. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certification: High school diploma or GED Must have or obtain State Food Manager's Certificate, or ServeSafe certified before or during the first 60 days of Manager Trainee assignment. Retain certification as required. Special Knowledge/skills: Knowledge of USDA/TDA Child Nutrition Program meal regulations. Knowledge of methods, materials, equipment, and appliances used in food preparation. Ability to lead a diverse team of employees. Effective planning and organizational skills Knowledge of first aid and safety plans PC software literate Personal vehicle at the time of hire and throughout employment for use on the job. Experience: Minimum of three years management experience in food service preferred. Minimum of one year experience in school food service required.
