Since Greenville is a Christian school, academics are grounded in and held together by Christian teachings, as each student is called to interpret ideas from a Christian perspective. Students are also asked to look at how they may bring Christ's teachings into the world and are encouraged to participate in one of Greenville's outreach, community service, or ministry programs. Since Greenville is so community-oriented, there are also social programs, regularly held within the dormitories, including Bible study groups and “floor parties.” Those interested in applying will need to submit an application, transcripts and ACT or SAT scores. Sometimes letters of recommendation are requested as well. Admitted students are generally in the top 50% of their graduating high school class, have an ACT score of at least 18 and a grade point average of at least 2.6. Eligible Greenville students may receive some form of financial aid, whether through need-based financial aid awards like grants, loans and work-study or Greenville scholarships, which are usually based on academic performance.
