Position Summary: The Materials Planning and Production Specialist ensures that materials and components are available for production at the right quantities and at the right time, while also optimizing inventory levels and production efficiency. They act as a bridge between procurement, production, inventory management, and logistics. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Materials Planning will analyze production forecasts and determine material requirements Create and maintain Material Requirements Planning (MRP) schedules. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate reorders to prevent shortages or overstocking. Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials. Track material usage trends and adjust plans accordingly. Develop, update, and monitor production schedules Coordinate with manufacturing tams to align material availability with production timelines. Prioritize production orders to meet customer delivery dates. Identify and create solutions to production bottlenecks for delays. Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, lead times, and production data. Generate reports for demand forecasting, capacity planning, and material usage. Use ERP/MRP systems (e.g. SAP, Tiptop, Power BI, ADP) Work closely with the procurement manager, warehouse, quality assurance, and operations teams. Participate in meeting related to supply chain, production, and capacity planning. Required Skills and Experience: High school diploma/GED required. Degree in business, logistics, inventory management, or a related field preferred. 2+ years of experience in OPE material planning, inventory management, purchasing, or a related position. Strong organizational and time management skills. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management. Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline 5-10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing or quality management, with a strong emphasis on product development and process improvement Prior experience in the Outdoor Power Equipment (OPE) industry is highly desirable Proven expertise in supporting quality management systems, including warranty and returns analysis, as well as incoming, in-process, and final inspections Demonstrated ability to test and troubleshoot electronic assemblies with precision and efficiency Hands-on experience with consumer electro-mechanical products, preferably outdoor power equipment and/or power tools Professional certifications such as ASQ, Lean, or Six Sigma are preferred Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly across teams Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; working knowledge of Microsoft Access and LabVIEW is a plus Willingness to participate in off-hours teleconferences with international teams as needed Ability to communicate in Mandarin is beneficial for global engagement, but not essential for success in this role.
