PRIMARY FUNCTION: Implements the warehouse activities in a manner that maximizes service to customers and effectively utilizes the facilities and equipment allotted for parts inventory. Deliver parts as needed. Responsible for knowing and maintaining key daily, routine functions:
Receiving, storing, and distribution activities are carried out in a professional manner and are kept within professional warehousing policies.
All orders are processed for delivery or pick-up promptly and efficiently on the day of receipt.
Shop parts requirements are met and delivered within 20 minutes (per page) of receipt.
Ensures all incoming parts are processed properly, loaded, and on records within two working days.
Process all inventory maintenance transactions/changes are entered within two working days of their generation.
Weekly locations available reports are worked within two days of receipt.
Conducts daily bin count listings within four hours of receipt.
Ensures security and accountability of parts inventory.
Minimize warehouse and trucking inventory loss (shrinkage) by checking locks and securing doors and gates.
Clears and sweeps all aisles a minimum of once a day and all non-reusable shipping materials are disposed of daily.
Empties trash cans and butt cans twice daily or sooner if required.
Dusts all bins, shelving and racking every three months.
Strips and seals all warehouse floors twice a year.
Stores all parts in a neat and orderly fashion.
Paints all areas as directed.
Attaches all warehouse labels and signs neatly in accordance with company policies.
Operates all road vehicles and lift trucks safely, and ensures they are serviced and washed according to company policy.
Properly loads and/or unloads parts delivery trucks in the least possible time.
Insures all items are received properly identified and warehoused in a safe and efficient manner.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The work is labor intensive. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs on a daily basis. Must be able to lift up to 100lbs on a rare basis. This position requires 90% of frequent climbing, balancing, stooping/crouching, overhead reaching, bending, squatting and prolonged standing and sitting. It requires occasional pushing, pulling, kneeling, and crawling. The position also involves great hand and eye coordination. Heights exceedingly over 50 feet from time to time are normal to incur on a daily basis to maintain a crane. Employee will be required to travel from time to time (20-50%) and must be willing to work various shifts to accommodate needs of HCSG branches and customers. This includes on-call and overtime. WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is normally performed inside or outside (pending customer requirements) with varying degrees of extreme hot and cold temperatures depending on the weather. During summer months, temperatures can exceed 120 degrees. This position will be frequently exposed to noise, heights, fumes, dust, and odors.

The Master Engine Rebuild Technician is responsible for the set-up, disassembly/re-assembly, overhaul, and rebuild of Mack, Cummins, and/or Caterpillar diesel and natural gas-powered on-highway truck engines and related components.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Review the work schedule, check the equipment and supplies required to perform the work scheduled, comply with PPE requirements, and otherwise prepare for duties.
Perform disassembly, inspection, rebuilding, and/or re-assembly of diesel and natural gas-powered on-highway truck engine systems and components, including but not limited to powertrain pumps, motors, and hydraulics components) in accordance with all prescribed quality and safety standards.
Research and determine the reusability of parts in accordance with published manufacturer guidelines.
Coordinate the ordering of replacement parts with a designated point of contact.
Test, measure, and adjust engine systems and components. Therein, identify the cause of failure through logical troubleshooting steps and failure analysis.
Prepare and submit detailed, complete, and legible service reports of all inspections and actions performed using prescribed forms and procedures in a timely manner.
Troubleshoot and test engines in the frame to determine the root cause of failure, and quote needed parts and labor to perform needed engine repairs.
Remove engines from vehicles as required to perform out-of-frame overhauls.
Install engines in vehicles after repairs and overhauls.
Perform post-installation testing, adjusting, and repairs as necessary.
Keep supervisor regularly apprised of the status of assigned work and assist in addressing customer questions and concerns.
Maintain work area, tools, and equipment to promote a clean and safe environment.
Keep up to date with developments in tooling, technologies, and systems.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Must have a high school education or GED.
Work Experience:
Eight years of experience with at least four years of experience as a service technician working on Caterpillar, Cummins, Detroit, Mack or similar on-highway truck engines. Diagnostic and troubleshooting experience with multiple engine types, models and manufacturers.
Physical:
Must be able to daily and repeatedly stoop, kneel, bend and climb beside, onto and underneath various equipment to perform diagnosis and repairs. Must be able to effectively see to perform repairs, research technical manuals, and develop written repair work order reports. Must be able to routinely and physically lift/position various parts to perform repairs/service and manually handle parts up to 117 pounds, as well as use a mechanical hoist as needed.
Other:

· Due to the highly technical side of this position and the complex jobs that may be included, Safety is of the upmost importance in the field. All projects will be evaluated upfront for safe conditions and the work environment. A written Pre-Work Risk Assessment for safety will be required on these projects.
· Handles inquiries and questions regarding projects when requested by customer calls, dispatchers, Product Support Representatives, Service Ops Manager, Service Project Engineer and Product Support Manager.

· Works with PSSR's to review and define a project and enter it into the service process.

· Prepares detailed project plan for time frames to meet customers' needs and coordinates deliveries to customer sites as needed.

· Provide Product Support Manager, Service Operations Manager, Service Dispatchers and/or PSSR's updates as needed on projects for status changes or any complications that arise in the jobs.
· Assists with coordinating and scheduling on start-up of new projects, repairs, modifications and field testing of a projects as needed.
· If needed assist in the preparation of submittals and manuals for larger complex project bids as required with the assistance of document technician or service administrator.
C. Cost Control

D. Documentation / Submittals/Service Manuals
· Solicits vendor product information as needed to complete requirements of the specification on the job.

· Assist PSSR's on projects that require SOP/MOP Documentation. This would include safety operating procedures as needed.

PRIMARY FUNCTION: This position is responsible for managing the entire production effort for the EPG Garner shop operations service department, to include 10-20 technicians. Shop operations include maintenance and repairs on all types of equipment such as power generation equipment, industrial diesel engines and on highway trucks. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Manages the daily production effort and communicates repair activities and progress to the customer. Coordinates with customer to obtain approval for repairs, advises the customer of any significant changes in the repair process or delays in scheduled commitments, and communicates repair authorizations back to the technician. Ensures initial and follow-up repair authorizations are approved and fully documented prior to beginning repair activity.
Establishes priorities for all scheduled and unscheduled repair/maintenance activities.
Directly supervises a shop technician work force of 10-20 personnel, ensuring productivity levels remain above 85%.
Ensures all warranty repairs are performed in accordance with applicable warranty repair guidelines.
Ensures all revenue repairs are performed in accordance with applicable department polices/procedures.
Uses dealer business system N365 to open and close work orders.
Completes initial review of service repair work orders and finalizes service support documentation for final invoicing.
Coordinates with Field service and outside vendors for repairs/maintenance beyond our technical capabilities.
Reviews and approves technician labor for posting to service calls / workorders.
Receives, reviews, and briefs technicians on latest technical support information to include service letters, technical bulletins, and product/warranty updates.
Provides technical repair diagnosis on problem solving with shop technicians.
Manages tools/support equipment to ensure serviceability and availability.
Ensures technicians receive the required training in support of the latest technological and product line improvements/enhancements.
Coaches, directs, councils, and warns shop technicians, as well as, makes recommendations on hiring and firing to Service Manager.
Assists the Service Manager in identifying and correcting any safety, operational, or training shortfalls. In addition, assists in developing the department's long-term business initiatives/strategies and advises of any potential problems that might negatively impact productivity levels or jeopardize customer relations.
Manages expenditures to meet budget obligations.
Assists Service Manager and Product Sales Support Representative in identifying and solidifying new service/business opportunities.
Continuously evaluates and reviews daily operation for process improvement opportunities.
Processes final invoice and collects payments from customer.
Participates, supports and enforces company safety initiatives such as the safety mentor programs, pre-risk assessments, etc.
Must have good communication skills to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
