Assist in receiving and verification of quantities of materials and parts delivered to E&A. Read instructions & drawings as necessary for the reconditioning and assembly of standard products. Fabricates lined pipe (PPL and TFE). This includes cutting, threading, assembly, flaring and testing of pipe spools from 1” through 4”. Cuts, threads, and assembles carbon steel pipe, plastic pipe and stainless steel pipe Assists with warehousing duties. Performs layout and assembly on all small equipment such as cyclesorbs, bulk bins, vapor paks and high flow ventsorbs (and fan skids). Maintain CCC's service equipment. Job Description JOB FUNCTION: This position is responsible for the operation of tools and equipment in a variety of customer work sites for providing industrial and/or environmental cleaning. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Strictly adhere to MPW Health and Safety Policies and Procedures. 2. Arrive at branch or jobsite on time, in uniform, properly groomed, mentally alert and physically able to work. Follow branch process for work schedule. 3. Set up jobsite including water blast hose, or vacuum hose, barricade tape and tags. 4. Use equipment such as, water blast gun, water lance, dry vacuum hose (6”and 8”), wet vacuum hose (6” and 8”), shovels, picks, automated tooling, aerial platform lifts and any other equipment needed. 5. Cleans equipment prior to return to MPW branch location. 6. Demonstrate initiative in execution of assigned tasks. 7. Performs other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor. QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Maintain valid ID to ensure access into customer sites. 2. Preferred specific exposure to an equipment or maintenance environment. 3. Experience performing manual labor in an outside setting. 4. Preferred 2-3 years of “hands on” experience with tools or heavy equipment. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Ability to move up to 50 Lbs., with or without accommodation. 2. Ability to maintain a consistent workload that involves physical manual labor. 3. Ability to maintain alertness and fitness for duty. 4. Ability to position oneself for work conducted in and around confined spaces. 5. Ability to wear respirators in environments that may expose you to chemicals, fumes, etc. 6. RESPONSIBILITIES - Operate jackhammers and drills to break up concrete or pavement , join, align and seal structural components, such as concrete wall sections and pipes - Shovel cement and other materials into portable cement mixers: and mix, pour, and spread concrete - Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials - Smooth and finish freshly poured cement or concrete, using floats, trowels, screeds, or powered cement finishing tools - Tend to machines that pump concrete, grout, and sand - Tend to pumps, compressors, and generators to provide power for tools, machinery, and equipment, or to heat and move materials such as asphalt - Lubricate, clean and repair machinery, equipment, and tools. - Operate, read, and maintain air monitoring and other sampling devices in confined and/or hazardous environments. - Assisting build and positioning forms for pouring concrete, and dismantle forms after use, using saws, hammers, nails, or bolts. - Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards, while following all waste handling guidelines. - Control traffic passing near, in, and around work zones. - Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, and rakes. - Erect and disassemble scaffolding, shoring, braces, traffic barricades, ramps and other temporary structures. - Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specifications. - Act as a Watch when welding or metal cutting is performed by craft workers. - Read and interpret plans, instructions, and specifications to determine work activities - Expedites materials and equipment to work locations and sets up work sites. - Completes records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various janitorial activities. - Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules, including wearing required personal safety equipment. RESPONSIBILITIES * Operate jackhammers and drills to break up concrete or pavement , join, align and seal structural components, such as concrete wall sections and pipes * Shovel cement and other materials into portable cement mixers: and mix, pour, and spread concrete * Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials * Smooth and finish freshly poured cement or concrete, using floats, trowels, screeds, or powered cement finishing tools * Tend to machines that pump concrete, grout, and sand * Tend to pumps, compressors, and generators to provide power for tools, machinery, and equipment, or to heat and move materials such as asphalt * Lubricate, clean and repair machinery, equipment, and tools. * Operate, read, and maintain air monitoring and other sampling devices in confined and/or hazardous environments. * Assisting build and positioning forms for pouring concrete, and dismantle forms after use, using saws, hammers, nails, or bolts. * Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards, while following all waste handling guidelines. * Control traffic passing near, in, and around work zones. * Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, and rakes. * Erect and disassemble scaffolding, shoring, braces, traffic barricades, ramps and other temporary structures. * Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specifications. * Act as a Watch when welding or metal cutting is performed by craft workers. * Read and interpret plans, instructions, and specifications to determine work activities * Expedites materials and equipment to work locations and sets up work sites. * Completes records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various janitorial activities. * Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules, including wearing required personal safety equipment.
