Caseload will require treatments in more than one setting, based on caseload needs and staffing dynamics • Timely review and completion of all supporting documentation • Establishment of discharge plan summary of status • Direct questions and concerns to director of rehab in a timely manner Job Responsibilities: Speech therapist responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: • Creating thorough documentation for all patient populations • Timely review of treatment documentation, re-examination of the patient and anticipated goals and expected outcomes, and revisions when indicated • Establishment of discharge plans and appropriate discharge environment recommendations • Supervision of an assistant if caseload demands • Interpreting of physician referrals and obtainment of any required supporting patient documentation, including diagnostics, labs, appointment notes, etc., in order to assure comprehensive review and care of patients • Assuring timely and appropriate care based on patient presentation • Assisting with marketing of services to the community • The speech therapist will also perform any other duties assigned by the director of rehabilitation and hospital administration. • Providing prompt notice of absence or need for change of schedule with Director of Rehab via telephone Requirements Licensure Requirement: Minimum of a bachelor's degree in SLP from an accredited program with current licensure in the state of Mississippi Physical Requirement: Good overall mental and physical health Stamina and endurance for expected shifts Enhanced tolerate to continuous walking Ability to perform proper lifting> 60 pounds Occasional sitting Frequent lifting of 10-30 pounds Salary Description $52.74 - $63.84
