Responsibilities
Operate a bus in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Under the direction of the (Project Director, Hudson Tunnel), the Sr Program Mgr - Rail Systems Activation Testing & Commissioning (T&C) is responsible for testing, commissioning and all related activities as required by the Hudson Tunnel Project and Amtrak's internal and external customers. The position is expected to operate with minimum supervision and will collaborate with a team of engineers and/or third-party engineering contractors, and suppliers as required. The Sr Program Mgr provides guidance for achieving best practices in construction management and project systems activation & commissioning methods. The incumbent is responsible for providing management support in testing & commissioning projects that provide improved system safety and security, state of good repair, facility upgrades and enhancements, and system expansions. In addition, the incumbent coordinates the inhouse systems activation testing & commissioning eff orts of the entire program within Amtrak-owned and/or maintained right-of-way, including track, bridges, buildings, signals and communications and electric traction facilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Establish Program Control structures for effective execution of the Testing and Commissioning program and processes of project driven initiatives for the program.
* Train control system design, construction, testing and commissioning.
* Rail and transit operation Design standards and safety regulations.
* Understanding of project requirements and project closeout.
* Basic to intermediate understanding of other subsystems such as Communications, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition/ SCADA, Traction power, Tunnel Ventilation, On-Board, Auxiliary Electrical Systems, and Mechanical-Electrical (MEP).
* Intermediate to advanced understanding of On-Board/ Wayside Interface Intermediate to advanced understanding of Train Control technologies such as: Automatic Train Control (ATC), Positive Train Control (PTC), and Communications-Based Train Control (CBTC) Systems Engineering & Systems Integration.
* Work with Designer of Record to identify, document and elevate cross-organizational and vendor-driven that impact project management or program acceptance, including systems.
* Work with peers across the organization to develop and implement appropriate management processes with internal stakeholders for implementation.
* Identify and manage assessment of scope, schedule and budget through the appropriate design process and support the systems testing and configuration program.

Job Summary
The Deputy Division Engineer (DDE) - (bridges & buildings and fire life safety systems) oversees the Safety, Quality, and Productivity performance of multiple sub-Divisions in the assigned location. This role is responsible for developing near and medium range plans for state of good repair needs on the Division and coordinating the execution of those plans to most efficiently and effectively utilize constrained resources (track usage, force account, equipment, etc.).
Essential Functions
* Drive continuous improvement in safety performance through direct oversight of field activities, administration of effective efficiency testing, and taking a leadership role in the development of work plans.
* Manage and oversee the Divisions assigned craft inspection program(s) to ensure compliance to schedule and regulatory requirements is maintained.
* Ensure sufficient technical oversight is maintained to all assigned craft work across the Division to ensure compliance to standards and specifications and high work quality.
* Plan and monitor the daily/weekly work plans to ensure proper prioritization of work, efficient utilization of limited resources (track usage, force account, equipment, etc.) to ensure all aspects of the infrastructure meet or exceed current Amtrak standards and comply with all relevant regulatory requirements and standards.
* Oversee all administrative activities of the sub-Division including, but not limited to, payroll and time-entry management, workforce scheduling, operating and capital budgeting, safety management, inspection scheduling and compliance, etc. The DDE is responsible for ensuring all ADE's are conducting their planned work in a manner that minimizes unproductive time, TPNW, and overtime as appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications

Job Summary
The Sr Business Analyst works in Program Development and Project Services within the Capital Delivery department to identify, develop, and implement commercial strategy for capitally-funded projects. * Support for project teams in the solicitation of construction contractors utilizing various delivery methods (design-bid-build, design-build, CMAR, and public-private-partnerships).
* Support for project teams on commercial matters in the procurement and execution phases. Execution phase support includes matters such as contract changes, schedule and cost issues, and claims.
* Conduct market research, including identifying vendors, preparing presentations and materials, and performing status checks of market conditions.
* Participates in market outreach with vendors, coordinates the participation of Amtrak stakeholders, prepares agendas, and identifies follow-up action items.

+ Diagnose and perform all vehicle and equipment repair phases, including brakes, suspensions, engines, drivetrains, transmissions, and other repairs.
+ Responsible for providing maintenance, service and repairs to gas, diesel and electric powered manufacturers, that include: John Deere, Toro, Briggs and Stratton, Kubota, Bobcat, Gravely, Perkins engines, and Isuzu engines in a multifaceted shop environment.
+ Provide preventative maintenance and repairs to a variety of equipment that include: small farm tractors, lawnmowers, ATV's/UTV', snow removal equipment, and towed equipment.
