ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform abdominal, renal, pelvic, thyroid, scrotal and small parts ultrasound.
Perform gynecologic scans (transabdominal and transvaginal) to assess reproductive organs.
Perform diagnostic and screening breast ultrasound examinations.
Conduct carotid, venous, arterial and abdominal vascular Doppler studies
All other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Ensure a compassionate and professional experience for every patient.
Review patient history and explain procedures clearly to obtain cooperation and confidence.
Maintain accurate records and complete reports in PACS and RIS systems.
Adhere to established protocols, infection control and safety standards.
Assist with quality assurance, equipment calibration and maintaining a clean, organized exam area.
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program.
ARDMS, ARRT, or CCI certifications in at least one specialty (Abdomen, OB/GYN, Breast or Vascular, additional certification preferred.)
Current BLS certification required.
Minimum 1 year of ultrasound experience preferred (outpatient experience a plus)
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology and sonographic imaging principles.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
