The RN Resident is expected to successfully complete the 12-month Nurse Residency Program (NRP). The Wellstar program is designed to facilitate and provide support for a successful transition into professional practice for the new graduate RN with less than 6 months of experience as a Professional Registered Nurse.
RN Residents will participate in programs designed by 1) specialty/service line and 2) NRP sessions to support their development. Mechanical project engineer to work on engineering projects and supporting the technical operation of the North American business. Project engineer will manage and execute product development, production support, and value engineering projects whilst integrating with the applications and product engineering group.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Research and analyzes data and specifications to determine feasibility of project
• Identifies potential projects, proposes and designs solutions
• Familiar with reverse engineering and creating specifications from reverse engineered designs
• Interacts with manufacturing in implementing manufacturing protocol
• Supports product enhancement and cost reduction initiatives
• Interacts with Product Development to align projects for the NA market
• Prepares technical sales documentation, drawings, test reports, etc.
• Create new part numbers in the ERP system
• Supports product training when required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Proficiency in SolidWorks required. Experience with AutoCAD and Pro-Engineering is a plus.
Strong analytical/theoretical background with solid engineering design fundamental skills
Experience working on projects, from specification through to execution required
Experience with design for manufacture required (sheet steel fabrication a plus)
Exceptional communication and time management skills
Commitment to meet schedule due dates
Positive, ambitious attitude
Experienced with Microsoft Office products
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
BS in Mechanical Engineering or strong technical degree required
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Office hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
• Occasional travel to job sites or material suppliers
• Ability to access military & restricted government facilities (required: US citizen or green card holder)
• Able to lift 50 lbs, stand for periods of time, work with hand and power tools as required in test lab environment
