Seasonal position focused on preparing and cooking a variety of food for the cafe, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. This role requires working in a fast-paced environment and involves a strong emphasis on quality, freshness, and adherence to health and safety regulations.
Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities:
Execute all food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, portioning meats, and preparing sauces, in accordance with established recipes and quality standards.
Efficiently cook and assemble a variety of menu items-including breakfast, lunch, and dinner-on a cooking line. Must be proficient with a variety of cooking methods like grilling, frying, and sautéing.
Ensure all dishes are consistently prepared to meet the cafe's standards for quality and visual presentation.
Operate all kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and cleaning procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workstation always, to ensure smooth and efficient service.
Monitor inventory levels at your station and communicate any needs for supplies or ingredients to kitchen leadership.
