How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)

As part of the Customer Experience unit, Airport Customer Service (ASC) and Cargo (CGO) directly impacts Delta's customers through the travel ribbon. That said, the largest component of a customer's experience is our employees. Protecting both our employees and our Assets to ensure the employee experience is exceptional and that every employee returns home to their family in the same condition as the left is the #1 priority at Delta Air Lines. The Co-Op - Airport Customer Service (ACS) Ground Safety provides support for the safety, health and wellness of our people and our customers by creating programs and services to support continuous improvement as well as making sure our equipment is safe and reliable.

• Safety - Continually strives toward the elimination of occupational injuries/illnesses, prevention of damage to assets, and a commitment to safety for our passengers

• Compliance - Supports stations worldwide by maintaining compliance with all domestic and foreign regulatory agencies while also assisting stations to prepare for internal (DL) and external (regulatory agency) audits

• Assurance - Ensures system-wide standardization in the areas of ground operating policies and procedures as well as responsibility for quality assurance/control/compliance of ACS Below Wing and Cargo

• Risk - Addresses and corrects safety hazards through Delta's Safety Management System (SMS), which relies on active employee participation as a critical step in the hazard identification process

Responsibilities include:

• Analyze data, review metrics, and set up dashboards using data visualization tools to help minimize operational risk

• Support project leaders by collecting data for the purposes of evaluating the latest safety technology

• Communicate with station leadership to assist with investigations

• Proactively lead safety initiatives and solutions throughout the business

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

+ Working towards a Bachelor's degree in Aviation Safety, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, Occupational Health and Safety, or other related field preferred.

+ Must be available for three alternating semesters

+ Strong desire to learn and ask questions • Ability to think critically and take initiative with new ideas

+ Willingness to travel periodically

+ Where permitted by applicable law, must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for U.S.-based job, if not currently employed by Delta Air Lines, Inc.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

+ Experience with some of the following: Tableau, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint
