Ground/Water Treatment & Technology, LLC (GWTT) is a leading environmental contractor located in Wharton, NJ. GWTT provides Operations and Maintenance Services of treatment systems along with construction dewatering, remediation, and environmental construction services.
We have an immediate opening for a full-time Construction/Equipment Technician based out of our Wharton, NJ location. Basic construction background is required. A flexible Work Schedule including overtime, night, and weekend shifts, along with out-of-town travel will be required.
The primary responsibilities of the Technician include:
Safety as a top priority
Routine maintenance of equipment
Operate fork truck and telehandler
Follow direction of supervisor, read and understand work orders, have an enthusiastic attitude, and be on-time and ready for work.
Mechanical and basic assembly of projects with use of basic hand tools.
Preparation of equipment for rental - cleaning, grinding, painting, loading carbon, pulling materials from stock, etc.
Delivering materials to job site
Work within different divisions at GWTT
Load/unload trucks of materials receiving
Clean, power wash, grind, paint, unload carbon, restock material, etc.
General shop and yard housekeeping - sweep, clean common areas, empty trash cans, snow removal, etc.
Pickup and delivery of materials as necessary.
Have a construction background (plumbing, carpentry helpful)
Willingness to start at ground level
Travel locally
Able to work overtime when needed. Weekend work on occasion
Two years of basic construction experience is preferred along with a hard-working attitude and willingness to be trained. This role is part of a cross-training program offered at GWTT. The right candidate will begin this role in the Wharton, NJ shop where he/she will learn the skills necessary to rotate among the other divisions within GWTT.
Candidates must possess a valid driver's license, a clean driving record and must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Hiring Process:
Applicants complete an Employment Application and answer all questions on the application. Any admissions made which would violate Police Department Employment Standards will automatically cause the applicant to be disqualified.
Applicants who progress through the application pre-screening process without adverse information will be interviewed.
Applicants invited to test must pass the FrontLine Human Relations Video Test, Reading Test, and Incident Observation and Report Writing Video Test to continue on in the process. Minimum acceptable score for the reading and writing portions of the test is 70%; video portion is 65%. You must meet the minimum score in each portion of the test to be moved forward in the process.
Applicants still in process at this phase will undergo a comprehensive background investigation; polygraph examination; medical examination; drug test, and a psychological evaluation.
Examination Process:
We have worked with the National Testing Network to offer the Frontline National test by virtual means. Those applicants that meet the minimum qualifications as stated above will receive an email inviting them to test. The email will include the instructions to self-schedule the test through the National Testing Network.

JOB SUMMARY
This position reports to the Assistant Airport Director for Planning & Engineering. General policy is determined by the department head or his/her designee. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Supervises work of subordinate supervisors and maintenance division employees in all phases of building/airfield maintenance and repair work necessary to maintain and operate the airport facilities.
Formulates policies and operating procedures in consultation with subordinate supervisory employees and with the concurrence of the department head or his/her designee.
Plans, organizes, directs and evaluates work of employees as well as adjusts assignments, procedures and schedules as necessary to successfully accomplish assignments.

Nature Of Work
