    Job Description: A Groundhand's primary responsibility is to assist crews in clearing trees and branches that interfere with communication lines and electric power lines. Other duties include hoisting tools and equipment to crew members and lowering branches with rope or block and tackle; positioning and steadying ladders; sawing and cutting up branches; loading debris, tree trunks and limbs onto trucks (using winch and chipping brush with chipper); carrying chainsaws; carrying gas cans and oil jugs; cutting, dragging, and mulching brush. May also flag traffic utilizing stop/slow paddle and two-way radio. A Valid Driver's License and/or CDL License is preferred. Work Schedule: 4 -10 HR days, either; Monday thru Thursday or Tuesday thru Friday with periods of mandatory overtime. Employees are also required to work emergency storm duty as need arises. Rate of Pay: Varies depending upon Skills and Experience. Assure facility is maintained in safe and sanitary manner, and in accordance with any applicable federal, state or local laws or regulations and licensing bodies. Assist in the preparation of grocery orders. Oversee and assist as necessary in the preparation of nutritional menus and meals. Order monthly household supplies. Maintain a bi-weekly inventory of food items and monthly inventory of household supplies. Ensure monthly smoke detector and fire extinguisher checks and forward information to the Residential Department Ensure quarterly fire drills and forward information to the Residential Department Ensure all residents sign and maintain appropriate, current, and accurate documentation.
