Position Overview:
MyOme is seeking a group leader to lead NGS assay development with a focus on long-read sequencing assays. This person will lead and scale an integrated team across molecular assay development, computational pipeline R&D, with a company-wide impact. Proven experience in developing NGS assays with bioinformatic workflows are essential. The ideal candidate will also be a decisive leader, capable of navigating ambiguous situations to deliver results.
What You'll Do:
Technology Leadership
Design and optimize end-to-end targeted NGS workflows with the assay team.
Institute stage gates on technology (R&D → Pre-Validation → Validation → Release).
Build robustness across sample types (whole blood, saliva) and throughput modes.
Work with Clinical Lab Operations to define analytical performance claims (LoD/LoQ, precision, specificity, interference/cross-reactivity, carryover) and verification/validation study designs.
Supervise team development of research analysis pipelines, including definition of QC metrics and acceptance criteria for successful development
Establish truth sets, simulation frameworks, and benchmarking (GIAB, contrived mixes)
Define analytical performance under real-world conditions.
Collaborate with downstream bioinformatics teams for production hand-off.
Team Development
Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of R&D scientists
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the lab.
Program Management
Maintain single integrated roadmap for assays, pipelines, automation, and data operations with quarterly milestones mapped to product releases

What You'll Need:
Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Bioengineering, Computational Biology, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
8+ years in NGS assay/product development, with experience leading multi-disciplinary teams.
Demonstrated record of targeted NGS assay launches or molecular diagnostics productization.
Bioinformatics proficiency: Linux, Python/R; variant calling (SNV/indel/CNV/SV); Cloud compute.
Experience with a range of NGS platforms (e.g. Illumina, ONT, PacBio).
Demonstrated success scaling labs and data systems, including LIMS integration and automated QC release.

Perform total RNA isolation and QC of various tissues/cells from human, non-human primate and rodents
Gene expression profiling and data analysis using NGS, RT-qPCR and hybridization-based platforms
Work up and troubleshoot new protocol methods centric to NGS platforms
Prepare and present relevant data to internal and external stakeholders
Act as a team leader and organize activites in the area assigned
Train and lead others and efficiently prioritize and manage their time
Coordinate training for employees within group and ensure records are up to date
Assist in the hiring process and on-boarding of new employees
Perform performance appraisals and coaching for direct reports
Work as a liaison between clients, supervisors, and lab to report progress, needs, and delays

Position Qualifications:

Responsibilities:
Involved in both strategic planning and day-to-day operations, particularly in relation to buildings and premises including procurement, budget administration and contract management.

This role requires a skilled senior manager with pharma engineering experience, compliance and safety focused.
Strong operational experience and experience of dealing in a challenging environment.
Knowledge and experience on pharmaceutical, medical device or biotechnology manufacturing is required.
Willing to work irregular hours, rotating shifts, weekends and holidays when needed.

Position Summary
The Resident Camp Leader III is responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and educational environment that fosters personal growth and skill development for campers. Reporting to the Program Director, this role oversees specific camp programs and age groups, ensuring a positive experience through activity management and camper support. Leaders will live in shared cabins, lead activities, and manage schedules for designated areas. As part of the Camp Summer Leadership Team, this position supports camp programming, mentors staff, and serves on an overnight on-call rotation to supervise campers. The role also manages specialized program areas, such as the Climbing Tower, Zip Line, Archery, Canoeing, Hiking, and Arts & Crafts for campers and user groups.
Job Responsibilities
Provide high-quality customer service and meet all program participants' needs.
Plan and lead engaging activities that promote personal growth and social skills.
Prioritize participant safety by following emergency and safety protocols.
Build meaningful relationships with staff, parents, and campers.
Maintain professionalism in all interactions.
Foster camper connections with peers and the YMCA community.
Promote safety, hygiene, and health by adhering to and enforcing established protocols.
Encourage campers' understanding and appreciation of natural and social environments.
Recognize and reinforce positive behavior, personal growth, and skill development.
Accurately submit reports, including incidents, health logs, and timecards, on time.
Actively participate in cabin, unit, and camp-wide activities, assisting in program areas as needed.
Rotating overnight on-call duties are part of this role and are shared between Camp Leader IIIs and Camp Leader IVs.
Ensure compliance with YMCA, ACA, and applicable to local, state, and federal standards.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
This role is primarily outdoors, requiring physical stamina, mobility, and the ability to lift equipment, lead activities, and assist campers as needed. Extended periods of standing, walking, and participation in physical activities are expected. Flexibility is required for long, variable hours, including overnight shifts. Meals and lodging are provided for the duration of the summer camp program.
