SCHOOL AGE SERVICES - GROUPLEADER (Jackson Madison)
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
Consistent with the Christian mission and vision of the YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South, and in cooperation with other YMCA staff, under the direction of the School Age Site Director, the part-time School Age GroupLeader is responsible for implementing activities and executing daily lesson plans for the School Age Before and After School sites and Summer Programs. The School Age GroupLeader will work with other site staff to foster children's social, physical, spiritual, and mental growth.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Model the YMCA core values: Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility
Set up and take down program space so that area is transformed into child-friendly environment; this includes moving, cleaning, picking up and putting back furniture and equipment ensuring program space is left in organized fashion
Actively lead and engage a group of 15 to 20 (DHS maximum is 20) children in activities outlined by the Site Director either inside or outside program areas and during transition times
Follow all safety standards and risk management policies, ensuring the safety and well-being of participants and fellow YMCA staff
Assist in planning and implementing a quality curriculum that meets YMCA guidelines
Attend all staff meetings and in-service training as required by the program staff
Assist in controlling and maintaining supplies and inventory on site
Assist in monitoring licensing standards at the School Age site to ensure the maintenance of all quality standards
Maintain positive relationships with YMCA personnel and administration and school staff
Assist in maintaining citywide policies and procedures
Assume duties as directed by the Site Director

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this position is a tremendous opportunity to help support the Production Supervisor and drive production while managing safety, quality, productivity and cost. Position Responsibilities:

We are looking to add a Team Lead-Residential to our team. Your overall essential responsibilities will be the following:
Develop and lead a strong, collaborative team of residential support specialists to operate high quality, multi-dimensional residential services in assigned departments. Ensure routine meetings with each assigned department.

Provide residential support staffing as indicated in annual budgets. Provide direct coverage in emergencies. Maintain 24-hour on-call management coverage for all assigned departments.
Lead the residential support specialist team to develop, implement and oversee all activities supporting the operation of assigned Community Living departments,
Ensure the full implementation and documentation of the ISP of each person served. Attend all assessment and ISP meetings
Ensure that all staff are aware of and trained in Behavior Support Plans and that all required data is collected accurately and according to the stipulations of the plan.
Ensure that all residences and vehicles for which the agency has responsibility are maintained in a safe, secure and esthetically pleasing condition.
Ensure the safety and security of people always supported, ensure all individuals served are always free from harm. Ensure that all incidents are reported to the required parties in a thorough and timely manner. Conduct follow-up activities as requested; participate in investigations, in accordance with funding and licensing agency requirements and SJCS policies and procedures. Ensure routing of incident reports to appropriate.
Ensure that all medical care required to maintain optimal health and maximum benefit is implemented in a timely and thorough manner in accordance with the ISPs of individuals served. Recognize and respond to any health or behavioral changes in individuals served and refer to the proper professional when necessary. Schedule medical appointments and attend doctor's appointments with individuals. Transmit applicable medical documents and information to agency nurse immediately after visits are conducted.
Ensure medications are properly and proactively ordered, obtained and made available according to physician's orders. Monitor Medication Administration Records routinely and report all medication errors promptly according to agency protocol.
Ensure that all ancillary services, including plans, therapies or other services, identified in the individuals ISP are made available to them in a timely and efficient manner.
Ensure compliance and quality assurance of all records for individuals and the assigned department through routine review and maintenance of logs, files, medical appointment records, and reports.
Facilitate the planning of community activities by residents and ensure that staff implement the activity schedule and document activities. Monitor activities to ensure that ISP goals are being addressed. Make requests for individual funds according to their requests. Ensure that individual funds are accounted for according to agency policies and procedures. Work cooperatively with Program Director and Program Coordinator to ensure that all funds are properly accounted for and that individuals remain eligible for benefits.
Secondary Functions:
Complete all administrative duties including billing documentation.
Participate in the implementation of the state's recruitment plan. Participate in staff orientation and subsequent training. Make staff observations as assigned. Complete staff evaluations.
Oversee staff electronic timekeeping and ensure accuracy of recorded time prior to Program Director approval each pay period.
Attend and participate in all relevant agency events, workshops, training and meetings.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
