**The Role:** The Die Group Leader will be responsible for leading a team in the maintenance, repair, and optimization of dies and related mechanical equipment within a manufacturing environment. This role requires a strong understanding of blueprints, machine schematics, and various machining processes to ensure efficient and high-quality production.
**What You'll Do (Responsibilities):**
+ Lead and supervise a team of die technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
+ Interpret complex blueprints and machine schematics to diagnose and troubleshoot die malfunctions and mechanical equipment issues.
+ Oversee and actively participate in the repair, maintenance, and modification of dies, fixtures, and other mechanical equipment.
+ Apply expertise in various machining processes (e.g., milling, grinding, turning) to repair and fabricate die components.
+ Ensure all repair and maintenance activities are performed safely and in accordance with company standards and procedures.
+ Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives for die performance and longevity.
+ Manage work orders, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources effectively to meet production schedules.
+ Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inventory of die components.
+ Conduct regular inspections of dies and mechanical equipment to anticipate and prevent potential failures.
**Specific physical requirements of the position include the ability to:**
+ Work in a loud manufacturing environment that may not be climate controlled (conditions can be hot or cold)
