KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Point of contact for new Work Orders (WO's)
· Track machine downtime in real time and report data to Maintenance Manager
· Responsible for prioritizing and issuing WO's to maintenance personnel
· Contact third party contractors and vendors as needed to complete WO's
· Manage the preventive maintenance schedule in the CMMS (BigFoot) and periodically review the tasks, frequencies and corrective maintenance for continuous improvement
· Organize, categorize & catalog inventory and input into CMMS (BigFoot)
· Create and ensure compliance with inventory tracking system
· Generate purchase requests for maintenance materials and supplies to maintain inventory levels, sourcing parts as needed
· Reduce response time for corrective/repair maintenance by ensuring an adequate supply of replacement parts are in stock at all times
· Ability to work in adverse conditions safely and ensure safety of personnel
· Creates and executes performance plans, meets performance commitments and works within the guidelines of the Milgard Performance System
· Reflects Milgard's business values and the Milgard Quality Pillars in all business interactions.

Summary
There are many types of roles to be played in live action training. As such, there are multiple categories of role players required: generic, foreign language speaking, opposing force (bad guy), and casualty (to include Cut Suit and Amputee). Normal shifts are generally between eight (8) and twelve (12) hours (day and/or night). Individuals must be comfortable and willing to be “handled” and “touched” by Special Effects Make-up Artists (applying wounds) and members of the Training Audience (rendering aid or detaining).
Role players should be accustomed to working in adverse and austere conditions. Role players have supported training exercises in the desert during the summer months and the mountains in the winter months. Individuals should be professionals that pride themselves in doing what is necessary to ensure the Training Audience is as prepared as possible for any contingency during a traumatic event or an operational deployment.
Foreign Language Speaking (FLS) - A key component to Hyper-Realistic training is the incorporation of language skills, customs, and culture into the training scenarios. FLS role players incorporate a dynamic, interactive cultural awareness component to the urban training exercise. Often, FLS role players are called upon to play the role of an Interpreter.
Opposing Force (OpFor) - On many occasions the Training Audience requires an OpFor to be integrated into the scenario to be able to stress participants and practice the standard operating procedures of the unit. Individuals playing the role of OpFor (bad guy/girl) must be familiar and proficient with weapons (rifles, handguns, knives, etc.) and tactically savvy. Weapons may fire blank rounds or simulation (less than lethal) rounds.
Casualty - STOPS pioneered the integration of casualty role players into military training. Using Special Effects Make-Up Artists and an in-house, cutting-edge production facility; STOPS has the organic capability to produce a multitude of wound effects that can be applied to a casualty role player.
Job Duties
Specific duties will take place at the STOPS Tactical Training Laboratory in San Diego, CA, but on occasion travel to a client's location (throughout the United States and possibly Internationally) will be required. Individuals must be able to follow the direction of the STOPS Project Manager during training scenarios - geared towards the accomplishment of the Training Audience's mission - military, law enforcement, and 1st responder/medical provider personnel.

The City of La Mesa has several openings for energetic and enthusiastic Day Camp Leaders for the Summer Day Camp Program beginning June 1 through August 7, 2026. Our Summer Day Camp Program is operated through La Mesa Community Services. Camp La Mesa offers children ages 6 to 13 years a fun-filled summer. Activities include field trips, crafts, cooking, singing, organized games, swimming, and more. Day Camp meets Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. through 6:00 p.m.
This is a part-time, temporary position working up to 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Hours will vary pending the shift. Examples of shifts are 7:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Shifts over 6 hours include a 1/2 hour unpaid lunch break.
Class specifications are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed by employees in the class. Specifications are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job.
To assist in teaching classes or to lead a variety of recreational program activities involved in the implementation of recreational programs for the City including sports, special events, day camps, arts and crafts and other recreational programs and activities; to provide on-site supervision for program implementation; to set up and issue equipment for recreational activities; and to maintain records and reports.
Key Responsibilities
The following duties are typical for this classification. Incumbents may not performall of the listed duties and/or may be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth below to address business needs and changing business practices.
* Supervise 10 to 20 campers per week, ages 6 - 13 years.
* Plan and lead varied activities each week.
* Observe necessary precautions to ensure the safety of program participants and theiractivities.
* Interface daily with parents, general public and other city colleagues.
* Supervise aide(s) and teen volunteers.
* Assist campers in pool on a daily basis.
IF WORKING AS AN INCLUSION LEADER:La Mesa Day Camp occasionally has campers with special needs and/or difficulty adjusting to the camp setting. In these instances an Inclusion Leader would be assigned to work one-on-one with the camper to assure a positive camp experience to the fullest extend possible. In the event a one-on-one assignment is not needed, the Inclusion Leader would work in the capacity as a traditional Leader as described in the job posting.
Inclusion Leader Responsibilities:
* Along with Camp Coordinator, willmeet with the camper and parent prior to the week of attendance to discuss the special needs, helpful information, and ways to communicate the events of the day.

Minimum Qualifications

Education/Training:

Experience:
At least one year of responsible experience working in a recreation program.
If Hired as an Inclusion Leader:
Some experience as an Inclusion Leader or training/classes in the area of special needs children between the ages of 6 - 13 years old.
License or Certificate:
* Possession of a Standard First Aid Certificate required by May 23, 2026.
* Possession of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (Infant, Child & Adult) required by May 23, 2026.
* Possession of AED Certificate required by May 23, 2026.

Other:
* Ability to professionally plan, organize, and implement activities in a day camp program.
