The Group Lead plays a key role in overseeing the day to day activities of the Group. The Group Lead provides mentorship and guidance to the team, maintaining high standards of quality and productivity while fostering a collaborative and engaging work environment.
Essential Functions Include:
GroupLeadership
Create inspiring work environment that motivates team members

Operational Oversight
Ensure that the group adheres to all company policies and procedures by overseeing day-to-day operations (i.e. timesheet approvals, reviewing expense reports, training records, hybrid work schedules)
Coordinate time-off schedules, job rotations, and assignments, ensuring that workloads are appropriately balanced.
Approve PTO/Flextime requests, maintaining smooth operations during employee absences.
Task Oversight
Delegate and prioritize group member tasks in accordance with Group needs, individual strengths and experience
Facilitate communication between group members and customers; ensure deliverables are being met
Proactively resolve operational challenges within the group, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning
Budgetary Ownership
Provide input for Department Operational budget and manage Group budget
Manage both group project budgets and allocated internal budget; track spending to ensure group remains within budgetary limits, departmental and company-wide financial goals
Relationship Management
Facilitate strong working relationships between group members and other departments, customers and external partners
Develop and maintain strong customer relationships; gather feedback to continuously improve service quality
Form strong relationships with company-wide Group Leads (your peer Group) by meeting on a regular basis for alignment, sharing of best practices, and alignment on strategic priorities
Communication
Conduct Group Meetings to discuss projects, challenges, escalations and successes within the Group
Communicate relevant information down to Group and up to Manager
Employee Development
Conduct regular, meaningful 1:1's with junior engineers monthly and senior engineers every other month to connect and discuss progress, address concerns relative to development goals and expectations
Provide advice and support to Project Leads and Task Focals
Create and execute development plans for team members, ensuring alignment with broader department goals; work with Department Manager and Technical Lead to adjust plans as necessary
Performance Management
Write clear and direct annual feedback summaries; conduct reviews with Department Manager to ensure transparency and consistency in expectations
Write and support the execution of Group development plans' ensure team members understand how individual goals connect to group and company strategy
Recognize high-performing employees through company Recognition Program
Strategic Input
Provide input to Manager about changing business, financial and operational information
Propose changes to existing Group structure as necessary
Recruiting
Support department recruitment activity by reviewing candidates in applicant tracking system
Participate in interview de-brief meetings

Requirements for this position include:
Bachelor's degree or Master's Degree in relevant field
10+ years of relevant industry experience
2+ years of team leadership experience

6:30-8:15am
2:30-5:45pm

As an AlphaBEST Guide, you'll be trained to do the following:
Lead a group of student
explorers
through exciting adventures in fitness, the arts, technology, and more!
Work collaboratively with peers to ignite children's sense of wonder.
Encourage creativity and intellectual curiosity by building on students' interests and talents.
Provide a caring, family-oriented environment where positive staff, child, and parent relationships are fostered.
Here's what you'll need:
Must have a high school diploma or GED,
Must be at least 18 years old
Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs
Must be registered and have full clearance from the state childcare licensing agency
Proof of experience as required by state childcare licensing regulations (see below)
Proof of experience through ONE of the following options is required:
Bachelor's Degree (BS/BA in a related field) or Associate's Degree (AS/AA in a related field)
A 1-year state or nationally recognized credential (related to school-age care)
Completion of 20 credits (semester system) or 30 credits (quarter system) of training at a college/university AND at least 1 year of qualifying teaching experience in a Certified Child Care Center (or comparable group care program)
2 or more years of qualifying teaching experience (with at least one year as a teacher) in a Certified Child Care Center (or comparable group care program)
