Purpose Statement

Leads and assists the assigned team with Sets up, adjusts, repairs, maintenance and operation of packaging/production and related equipment to manufacture, process, and assemble various commercial products and substances. Uses product specifications, blueprints, diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOP) to produce products. Monitors output for quality and conformance to required metrics.
Leads and assists with preflight inspections of all packaging equipment, performs repairs and preventative maintenance on packaging/production equipment, sanitizes all packaging/production equipment, tools and work areas.
Ensures all Team members receive timely rest and meal(lunch) breaks, facilitated by the rotation of staff to provide relief. Is also responsible for providing relief to Team members and will fill in for absences/leaves of absence and scheduled off days and vacations.
Is the designated Trainer for the team, providing all team members with equipment and task specific training, training on production/packaging related processes, and facilitates daily huddles/tailgate meetings
Prepares and maintains required records of production/packaging activities and reports any inconsistencies or equipment issues. Follows established guidelines for safe material handling and protective gear.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
3+ years' work experience operating advanced packaging equipment/robotics using HMI/PLC interfaces
1+ years' work experience in a leadership role, providing direction, guidance and training to a team.
