The Opportunity
Group One is looking for individuals who are interested in a career in proprietary trading. Analyst hires will participate in our intensive training program built on decades of industry expertise in option market making. Analysts will become proficient in option theory, market dynamics, and our proprietary software. Finally, analysts will join one of our trading desks and provide high level support for senior portfolio managers. Through this immersive and collaborative analyst progression program, our aim is to develop each of our analysts into successful equity option traders.

Responsibilities:
Participates in, and successfully completes, the training program.
Fluency with both the usage and rules of all proprietary and non- proprietary applications and tools.
Provide coverage for trading portfolios.
Works with trading teams throughout the day by completing tasks with efficiency.
Research and analyze trends in the financial markets and develop a keen awareness of how those trends and situations impact trading portfolios.
Perform post-trade analysis utilizing our custom technology platforms.
Effectively communicate across all functional groups; reporting pertinent information (news, earnings, etc.) in a timely fashion.
Obtain a Series 57 license.
Skills and Requirements:
Advanced quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to deploy those skills during time-sensitive situations.

EXPECTATIONS
Keen awareness of critical situations, ability to shift from fast market to slow market conditions quickly and efficiently.
Anticipate the needs of traders throughout the day, quick comprehension and delivery of tasks.
Balance/resolve position discrepancies before opening bell; notify trading staff of unexpected position changes intra-day.
Ability to filter information to trading staff by necessity; reporting pertinent information to management in a timely fashion.
Interns are required to articulately voice needs of the trading staff to IT, vendors, clearing firm, brokers/other market makers, and the exchange if necessary.

Role Overview
The Sr Manager, Product Management, will be an integral member of the Clearing Product Management team within the Cboe Clear U.S. business unit. The Public Policy intern at Cboe will engage in day-to-day activities and projects that contribute to our Public Policy team and corporate goals while applying what they have learned in their educational coursework to actual business situations. Demonstrated expertise in compliance best practices and ability to maintain a comprehensive compliance program aligned with Cboe standards, developing effective and efficient compliance solutions.

Position Summary: The Surveillance Analyst role will include real-time and pattern-based surveillance of the Cboe option markets to detect possible violations of Cboe and SEC rules and policies. The position will be based in Chicago, IL.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs a combination of the following duties according to Department and Division guidelines:
Conduct real-time surveillance and analysis of option securities traded on the
Cboe Exchanges to detect possible violations of Cboe and SEC rules and policies.
Conduct real-time monitoring of Cboe trading systems to ensure compliance with Cboe rules.
Collaborate with various Cboe teams to further enhance the Regulatory Program.
Assist in responding to inquiries from the SEC and other regulatory bodies.
Assist in the maintenance of internal policies and procedures related to the Cboe Surveillance Program.
Stay apprised of industry concepts and events while contributing in the creation of surveillance concepts that address potential regulatory concerns.
Build and maintain an understanding of the Exchanges' regulatory environment, relevant rules and regulations, technologies and systems, processes and operational methodologies, investigative and examination techniques.
Work Experience:
Financial markets experience preferred but not required. Market experience may be gained through positions with banks, exchanges, asset managers, broker-dealers, hedge funds, mutual funds, or similar institutions. Directly related experience in a regulatory, compliance, surveillance, or investigative role is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of general securities industry, derivatives markets industry, and/or Cboe, C2, BZX, or EDGX rules and regulations.
Knowledge of the following preferred: exchange regulatory and rules requirements as well as regulatory nuances; exchange data structures and regulatory design, including some systems elements.
Must be proficient in Excel and/or other applications that are utilized to analyze data and trends.
Must have strong analytical and research skills.
Experience with SMARTS Trade System Surveillance Software is a plus.

What We're Looking For:
