to join our growing team focused on expanding our established world class open source network monitoring solution in use by numerous Fortune 500 companies. This is a key role supporting internal development and business teams.
This position offers the flexibility to either work fully remote within the US or spend time in the office if you're located near one of our office locations.
The Basics
Manage multiple projects from planning to execution and completion. Communicate with staff and clients, make decisions and monitor the progress of projects to keep on schedule. Creating short- and long-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines, managing scope and delegating tasks, effective decision making, and communicating overall project status. Provide guidance across multiple clients while championing process, workflow, and best practices within the organization.

As the principal responsible for large-scale customer programs with multiple projects from mid-stage development through commercial operation, the Project Manager role is demanding with great visibility throughout Bloom Energy. The Project Manager commands high level visibility with critical Fortune 50 customers, key vendors, and manages the efforts of multiple Project Managers and other functional support roles. The Project Manager provides technical guidance to sales and origination teams during early stage project development and contributes to new product development as well. This role is customer-facing, and is key to providing an extraordinary experience for Bloom Energy customers.
Role and Responsibilities:
* Principal responsible and accountable for solid oxide fuel cell energy development programs from mid-stage development to commercial operation requiring direct and/or indirect management of the following:
* Develop overall program delivery strategy and manage team members in locations throughout the U.S. to execute to the strategy
* Project budget and schedule creation and execution
* Project design process optimized for cost, quality, and minimal customer disruption
* Design and construction contract negotiation and fulfillment
* Construction and project documentation completion to meet all technical and governmental standards
* Contribute to the success of Bloom Energy's long-term process improvement efforts
* Ensure exemplary safety and execution performance through specific metrics during site construction and commissioning
* Ensure that Bloom Energy customers are 100% satisfied with both the product and the development experience
* Deliver presentations confidently to all project stakeholders, and sell new ideas to Bloom Energy senior leadership and its customer base
* 25-35% travel
Skills and Experience:
* 8+ years of project management experience required; 2+ years of distributed energy solution experience strongly preferred. Candidate experience must include management of multiple, schedule constrained, large capital projects with multiple contractors.
* Project management experience should include management of budgets, schedules, design contracts, and construction contracts.
* Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional teams of subject matter experts required.
* Extremely organized and can confidently communicate project status and risk mitigation strategies to Bloom Energy senior executive leadership with little notice.
* B.S. Engineering: Chemical, Civil, Electrical, and/or Mechanical Engineering strongly preferred though other technical degrees (Construction Mgmt, Architecture, etc.) will be considered.
* Scheduling software programs: Microsoft Project and/or P6
* Command of Microsoft Powerpoint and Excel. Advanced experience is strongly preferred
