Establish short-term goals with clients, provide follow-up services as needed, and make appropriate/expeditious referrals. Provide home visits and other outreach services to schools and other agencies/providers that are necessary and appropriate. Thoroughly screen referrals to assure proper utilization of Outpatient Services. Promptly and accurately complete clinical records and all collateral forms as necessary and required. Arrange for hospitalization of clients, either on a voluntary or involuntary basis, and thoroughly assess to assure that it is the least restrictive alternative. In facilitating a patient's admission, Crisis Worker must accurately assess for special needs and alert other staff and/or physician to the apparent needs of the patient. Crisis Worker will act expeditiously in assisting police and all community agencies, including hospital staff. Arrange emergency/temporary placement as appropriate. Will work as part of a mental health emergency response team and avail themselves to work various non-traditional work hours covering call-offs when feasible. Attend trainings, meetings, conferences, etc. as directed by administration and use the information gathered to benefit the agency and the customers. Assist other clinicians in the facilitation of groups as requested. If varianced, provide intensive children's treatment services. Utilize agency software/computer systems to prepare current client records of treatment and reports as necessary and required. Transports clients as required Administer forms for urinalysis testing (UA's), provide accurate information on the UA's to clients, in some cases observes the UA, and record all pertinent information. The group home offers community-based, home-like atmosphere while providing a structured and therapeutic environment to meet the residents' needs. The program is designed for individuals with a history of behavioral difficulties that cannot be successfully maintained in their family home setting, a history of multiple unsuccessful placements, as well as victims of abuse/maltreatment and trauma. The program provides individual, group, and family therapy with 24-hour supervision within a highly structured therapeutic milieu POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Enhanced Support Team Supervisor, the Crisis Intervention Specialist supervises clients, provides a safe and secure environment and applies agency-approved methods of behavior modification including the point system, verbal de-escalation techniques, and physical intervention if needed.     **Position requires weekday evening availability and groups will be held either in person or virtually** General Description This position is responsible for facilitating groups for the Driver Alcohol Education program. This position may require work at sites throughout Berkshire County. Essential Job Functions Direct Care Work collaboratively with the program coordinator, updating on clients participation in program Facilitate psycho-educational groups using a core curriculum Update records including admission and discharge forms and group notes, eight week evaluations and complete exit interviews Make treatment recommendations and referrals as appropriate. Inform clients when they are behind on payments Administrative Participate in all relevant staff and treatment meetings, scheduled supervision and interagency committees Update supervisor on collateral services as needed Maintain safety and quality of site and report any incidents or accidents to supervisor Make independent decisions on and off site based on program requirements Ensure compliance with DPH and all agency policies Oversee accuracy of records and maintain record keeping standards Other Responsibilities Communicate a knowledge of the process of addiction with hopefulness and respect Flexibly respond to program scheduling needs and represent the agency in a professional manner in all community contacts and interagency committees Qualifications A master's degree in one of the following disciplines or a closely related field: clinical psychology, education-counseling, medicine, psychology, psychiatric nursing, rehabilitative counseling, social work, and who has a minimum of one year of supervised substance abuse counseling experience or A Bachelor's degree in any of the listed disciplines and a minimum of two years of supervised substance abuse counseling experience or A recognized certification or licensure, such as a CADAC or LADC including 4,000 hours of clinically supervised counseling of individuals with substance use disorders including at least 220 documented hours of supervision.
