Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide schedule, route, fare and other general information to phone-in and chat/email customers.
Ability to use Windows-based applications.
Ability to work independently.
Receive and document customer complaints and commendations through all media platforms (i.e., Facebook, Twitter, Web Customer Service email, Bus Tracker and GRTC.com).
Represent GRTC with proper communication through Social Media platforms.
Knowledge of updating Social Media platforms.
Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including filling in at the Front Desk when the front desk receptionist is on break, and processing Lost & Found duties as needed.
Demonstrated Proficiency of all GRTC Fixed Route and Microtransit service lines.
Knowledge of geography of service area, including landmarks and transfer points.
Knowledge of route numbers and names; Headway reports; Fare structure for all service lines.

Education and Experience

The call center training program is an intensive 3-month program. Job Summary: Planning Manager
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Planning Manager to lead GRTC's transit planning team. Reporting to the Director of Planning and Scheduling, this role is responsible for managing fixed-route service development, performance monitoring, and long- and short-range planning initiatives. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Manages fixed-route transit system/service evaluation and development, including evaluating system performance, making recommendations for change as needed to ensure service meets goals and objectives.
Assesses the local transit system against service standards and performance management metrics.

SUMMARY
Bus operators are responsible for operating transit service vehicles to include 29- to 60-foot buses used in public transportation in the greater Richmond region including but not limited to the City of Richmond, Henrico County, Chesterfield County. Assumes responsibility for the safety of our customers and equipment and performs routine vehicle inspections to ensure proper operations. Communicates appropriate information to customers, supervisors, and others designated to receive such information. Answers inquiries from customers and others. Follow agency transportation guidelines, operating rules, and procedures. Responsible for overseeing the safety of passengers, resolving problems, providing good customer relations, and maintaining public trust. Arrives on time and works independently with minimal supervision.

Also conducts an internal visual inspection at the end of shift to collect and turn in lost items.
Complete familiarization with system and safety features. This includes local geography and roadways of an assigned route and of the entire service area; traffic rules, regulations, and laws; transfer points; and fare structures (if applicable).
Provides information on bus services to passengers which include bus schedules, routes, and fare information (if applicable).
Receives and transmits two-way radio messages involving accidents, incidents, emergencies, unauthorized/illegal activities utilizing judgment and discretion to ensure customer and individual safety. Also checks for Clever on-board system for messages from dispatchers regarding detours and other information.
Maintains radio contact with dispatchers to report vehicle breakdown, accidents, interruptions in service, or other vital information to maintain efficient transit operations.
Completes forms as required, may prepare detailed written reports concerning accidents, incidents, breakdowns, and mechanical defects as required.
Adheres to safety rules, regulations, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to ensure the well-being of GRTC customers and employees.
Collects proper fares from boarding passengers (if applicable).
Provides a high level of service while operating buses under a variety of conditions.
Regulates heating, lighting, and ventilating systems for passenger comfort.
Always maintains a professional appearance/ observes operator dress code.

SUMMARY:
The Safety Ambassador will provide a highly visible, unarmed, and uniformed presence aboard buses, at transfer points, at Pulse stations, and other locations throughout the service area to monitor activity, to prioritize the overall safety of operators, passengers, and others and to contribute to the smooth operations of the service. SUMMARY:
The Financial Analyst is a key member of the Finance team, responsible for supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis. This role focuses on developing and maintaining budget models, preparing accurate revenue and expenditure forecasts, and collaborating with senior leadership to address financial challenges. The analyst monitors organizational financial health, identifies opportunities for cost savings and process improvements, and delivers clear, actionable insights through reports and presentations.
This position offers hybrid work flexibility after a 3-month probation period, exposure to senior leadership, and opportunities to grow into middle management roles.
Access to advanced modeling tools such as Power BI to develop data analytics skills, along with additional training and development opportunities designed to strengthen financial analysis and broader finance capabilities.

Develop and maintain budget models, guidelines, and timelines to support the budgeting process.
Prepare accurate financial forecasts for revenues and expenditures to guide decision-making.

SUMMARY
Bus operators are responsible for operating transit service vehicles to include 29- to 60-foot buses used in public transportation in the greater Richmond region including but not limited to the City of Richmond, Henrico County, Chesterfield County. Assumes responsibility for the safety of our customers and equipment and performs routine vehicle inspections to ensure proper operations. Communicates appropriate information to customers, supervisors, and others designated to receive such information. Answers inquiries from customers and others. Follow agency transportation guidelines, operating rules, and procedures. Responsible for overseeing the safety of passengers, resolving problems, providing good customer relations, and maintaining public trust. Arrives on time and works independently with minimal supervision.
Note: A CDL or CDL Learners Permit with a "P" endorsement must be obtained prior to the start date to secure employment in this position. Applicants who actively hold the required credentials will be given preference during the screening process. Work performance is carefully and frequently evaluated by supervisors through monitoring of bus schedule adherence, driving record, and the courteous treatment of the public.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operates a transit vehicle to pick up, transport, and discharge passengers while adhering to route schedules.
Maintains a pleasant and courteous demeanor.
Performs a pre-trip inspection of transit vehicles for mechanical problems prior to beginning scheduled run. This includes conducting an external/internal visual inspection of the vehicle and pre-testing all necessary equipment, operating devices, and transit bus controls for use while in service. Also conducts an internal visual inspection at the end of shift to collect and turn in lost items.
Complete familiarization with system and safety features. This includes local geography and roadways of an assigned route and of the entire service area; traffic rules, regulations, and laws; transfer points; and fare structures (if applicable).
Provides information on bus services to passengers which include bus schedules, routes, and fare information (if applicable).
Receives and transmits two-way radio messages involving accidents, incidents, emergencies, unauthorized/illegal activities utilizing judgment and discretion to ensure customer and individual safety. Also checks for Clever on-board system for messages from dispatchers regarding detours and other information.
Maintains radio contact with dispatchers to report vehicle breakdown, accidents, interruptions in service, or other vital information to maintain efficient transit operations.
Completes forms as required, may prepare detailed written reports concerning accidents, incidents, breakdowns, and mechanical defects as required.
Adheres to safety rules, regulations, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to ensure the well-being of GRTC customers and employees.
Collects proper fares from boarding passengers (if applicable).
Provides a high level of service while operating buses under a variety of conditions.
Regulates heating, lighting, and ventilating systems for passenger comfort.
Always maintains a professional appearance/ observes operator dress code.
Must be able to communicate effectively by using both written and verbal skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Assist in repairing metal panels by bumping out dents, filling in with body-filler and grinding smoothly.• Install new body panels by riveting and/or welding.• Replace miscellaneous body glass, mirrors and repairing floor covering.• Assist in the overall body and seat repair, preparation for paint and other duties.• Perform preventive maintenance inspections on wheelchair lifts and repairs as needed on wheelchair lift systems.• Perform preventive maintenance inspections on passenger doors, door control systems and repairs as needed on door systems.• Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work area.
