The Controller is a senior-level management position that will lead the enterprise-wide accounting and financial reporting activities of all regions and businesses units. This role requires a strong background in accounting and management, along with exceptional analytical skills and the ability to lead change and collaborate with a diverse team.
Controller
Financial Operations Management:
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations across all locations and Regions, including accounts payable, accounts
receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
Ensure timely and accurate completion of financial transactions and reconciliations across all Regions.
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for each location, department, and the
consolidated entity in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, highlight areas of concern, and provide insights to senior
management for all Regions.
Review, analyze, and communicate cash position risk issues including those with respect to unapproved and
unfunded change order work in place.
Team Leadership and Management:
Provide leadership and guidance to the St. Louis and Colorado accounting team fostering a collaborative and
high-performing work environment.
Supervise and review the work of accounting staff, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions
and reporting across all locations and regions.
Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for professional development.
Internal Controls and Compliance:
Develop and implement robust internal controls across all locations and Regions to safeguard assets and ensure
the accuracy of financial records.
Monitor compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations at each location
and department.
Conduct periodic internal audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls and make recommendations for
improvements.
Financial Strategy, Decision Support, and Integration of Acquisitions:
Partner with senior management to provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic
initiatives and business decisions across all locations and departments.
Assist with financial analysis and evaluate investment opportunities, acquisitions, and cost-saving measures for
each location and department.
Assist in the financial integration of acquired entities, including aligning financial systems, processes, and
reporting with the company's standards.
Technology and Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process automation, system enhancements, and technology adoption to streamline
accounting processes and improve efficiency across all locations and Regions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement accounting software upgrades and integrations.
Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in accounting, financial management, and controls.
Qualifications
* Construction accounting experience preferred
* Bachelor's degree in accounting with CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent certification is preferred
* Experience with Viewpoint Vista a plus
* Proven experience (8+ years) in progressively responsible accounting roles, with at least 4 years in a managerial
capacity
* Proven ability to guide, coach, develop, and motivate a team

Key Responsibilities:
As a
Senior Project Manager, you will lead projects from inception through completion, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. You will collaborate with teams both internally and externally to deliver quality electrical solutions for industrial clients.
- Project Coordination and Management:
Oversee the entire project lifecycle, including selecting materials, coordinating procurement, and ensuring timely distribution and return of tools and materials. You'll manage all phases of the project, ensuring cost controls and scope compliance.
- Cost and Budget Management:
Track project costs, report variances, and forecast financials. Ensure the project meets estimated costs and margins. Conduct regular cost-to-estimate evaluations and resolve discrepancies.
- Team Leadership and Supervision:
Manage and mentor field personnel, conducting regular site meetings and inspections. Ensure work is completed to project specifications and safety standards.
- Documentation and Compliance:
Oversee project documentation, including daily logs, reports, and invoices. Ensure all records are maintained according to company standards and all required submittals (shop drawings, cut sheets, permits, etc.) are accurate and timely.
- Client Relations and Issue Resolution:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, resolving concerns and maintaining strong relationships. Respond to and resolve client complaints professionally and effectively.
- Safety Management:
Participate in routine jobsite safety huddles and walkthroughs. Ensure that all team members adhere to safety protocols and that any jobsite incidents are investigated and addressed.
- Estimating and Value Engineering:
Estimate project costs and recommend value-engineering options for cost-effective solutions. Review and approve change orders.
- Continual Improvement:
Stay current with industry trends, technology, and best practices to continuously improve project delivery.
