Associate Project Manager As our Associate Project Manager , you will be a key player in coordinating documentation, subcontractor management, permit submissions, change orders, and schedule tracking to ensure electrical construction projects are completed smoothly, on time, and within budget. Your Impact: Assigned to support multiple project managers with the responsibility of assisting with various procedures and activities. Coordinate and plan efforts to effectively complete documentation associated with assigned projects and maintaining a smooth workflow. Assist with the coordinating, reviewing, revising, drafting, and maintaining of contractual agreements used in the procurement, marketing and resale of electrical construction-related goods and services. Support project management and field construction in planning for project construction, including set-up of digital project files and project file setup; management of project documentation throughout the construction progress from project start through close out. Track subcontracts; changes; prepare and maintain files, assist in issuing Change Orders and monitor status; RFI'S, counts, and pricing of change orders. Assist with submittal of permit applications and inspection requests; Submittal of shop drawings, samples, cut sheets and as-builts. Attend subcontractor meetings with and without Project Managers to help manage workflow of "to do's" for the project's success. Maintain panel schedules, create submittal log, update electrical drawings and track material needed. Recommends vendors for contracts bids and awards; assist with the review of bids to ensure adherence to Guarantee Electrical Company policies and procedures Manage contractors' licenses, business licenses, tax exempt applications and other related items as needed. Other duties may be assigned as needed. MAJOR GOALS AND PURPOSE The Project Manager will assume overall responsibility for a profitable, well-constructed, safe project, completing in a timely manner. This individual is responsible for the development of subordinates and good client rapport and will manage approximately $10 to $20+ million dollars of revenue annually across civil and water/wastewater projects. (Volume depends on number of projects assigned and experience level). Experience delivering self-perform water/wastewater, design/build and other civil projects a plus. ESSENTIAL ACTIVITIES Assume responsibility for project profitability. Review and develop project proposals, estimates, and pertinent documents with division estimators. Coordinate construction activities with the owner, subcontractors and Tarlton personnel. Compile the required documentation to support legal position if required. Determine the most cost-effective construction methods and use of personnel, material, equipment and subcontractors. Prepare invoice to owner as required. Prepare and update project schedule. Review and approve subcontractor selections and subsequent subcontractor invoicing. Prepare scopes for purchase orders and change orders to material suppliers and subcontractors. Prepare monthly cash flow projections and project status reports. Manage multiple projects concurrently. Ensure that the project is completed in compliance with project documents and designated quality standards. Make binding decisions authorized by corporate policy. And various other duties that may be assigned by the company. Ability to understand, manage, and abide by contracts and subcontracts. Ability to multi-task in a high volume, fast-paced work environment. Facilitate, negotiate, and execute buyouts of major purchase orders and subcontracts. Ability to oversee and effectively manage low voltage work and subcontractors. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong organizational, critical thinking, judgment, decision making and negotiation skills. Ability to lead and motivate personnel. Advanced skills in MS Office, project management and estimating software.
