Position Summary The Senior Director, Head of Health Systems Field is the senior field execution leader responsible for translating Guardant Health's health system strategy into consistent performance and measurable customer outcomes across both Regional and National Accounts. This leader owns the field operating system, drives execution excellence, develops field leaders, and ensures Shield and portfolio adoption scales through repeatable account planning, workflow/EMR enablement, and disciplined measurement. This role is highly collaborative and serves as a connector across the organization, ensuring tight alignment with the VP of Health Systems and cross-functional partners to surface opportunities, remove barriers, scale what works, and communicate enterprise needs back into the organization. The Senior Director partners closely with Health Systems Marketing (value proposition and messaging), the Program Office (account data, metrics, governance), and other internal functions to translate field insight into enterprise opportunity and accelerate Shield revenue. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Own field execution and performance across National and Regional Health Systems Accounts, consistently delivering revenue, adoption, and customer outcome goals. Run the field operating system and governance rhythm, including pipeline/forecast inspections, account plan quality standards, internal account QBRs, and execution cadences that drive accountability and speed. Lead and develop field leaders (including Area Directors), building coaching capability, bench strength, and a high-performance culture grounded in positive reinforcement, accountability, and compliance. Standardize and scale enterprise account excellence across both motions, including segmentation/prioritization, stakeholder mapping, governance pathways, and multi-site rollout strategies; provide executive sponsorship on top accounts. Build and scale a repeatable Shield adoption engine from pilot selection and readiness through workflow/EMR enablement, training, rollout governance, and metric requirements; ensure customer QBR/MBR discipline and value realization. Maintain tight partnership with the VP of Health Systems by communicating performance, risks, and enterprise opportunities with clear recommendations on where to invest, escalate, and standardize. Partner closely with Health Systems Marketing to sharpen and scale the value proposition, executive narratives, and messaging that accelerate Shield revenue. Partner with the Program Office to ensure account data quality, metric definitions, reporting, cross-functional visibility, and playbook enablement required to manage performance and prove value at scale. Coordinate across internal functions (Sales, Medical, Market Access/Reimbursement, Informatics/IT enablement, Sales Ops, Legal/Compliance, and others) to deploy resources, remove barriers, and translate field insights into cross-functional playbooks and enterprise opportunity identification. Ensure the field remains fluent in the healthcare ecosystem shaping account decisions (policy impact, quality frameworks, value-based care progression, risk-based contracting structures) and that these dynamics are translated into account strategy and measurement plans. Represent Guardant Health's mission, culture, and values to internal and external stakeholders. Adhere to all Compliance, Regulatory, and Quality Management System (QMS) policies. Travel up to 50% within territory, with occasional regional or national meetings. Meet all applicable customer access requirements. Standardized account planning, governance rhythms, QBR rigor, and cross-functional playbooks used consistently across field teams. High-performing field leaders who coach effectively, inspect execution fundamentals, and reinforce positive behaviors and accountability. Early identification of risks and barriers with clear escalation, mitigation, and cross-functional mobilization. Clear, consistent communication up and across the organization on wins, challenges, opportunities, and needs to accelerate enterprise health system growth. Qualifications 3+ years leading national teams at the second-line level within healthcare commercial organizations, with deep expertise in enterprise health systems and IDNs. 10+ years driving strategic account management and executive engagement at the C-suite and D-suite levels. Proven success scaling diagnostics adoption across complex health systems with multi-stakeholder decision-making nationally. Experience driving workflow transformation and/or EMR-enabled implementation at scale. Track record of delivering consistent results through disciplined management systems and cross-functional leadership. Commitment to compliance, integrity, and collaborative team success.     **JOB PURPOSE:** The Director, Field Operations oversees and optimizes the operational performance of multiple practices within the organization. This role requires strong business acumen, a deep understanding of practice management, and the ability to build consultative and non-transactional relationships with doctors and practice staff. The Director, Field Operations will serve as a key leader in ensuring the success and compliance of the practices by providing strategic direction, coaching, and resource coordination. To be considered for this role, candidates must reside in the Austin/San Antonio area or be willing to relocate. DSO experience highly preferred; multi-site experience is required. Weekly travel is expected, with Tuesday-Thursday spent on-site in the field. **GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Be in the clinic for 3 out of 4 weeks each month, ensuring systematic operations and adherence to standard operating procedures and best practices in accordance to the Affordable Care Operating Model + Coordinate resources and support to practices, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and standards. + Monitor compliance across all practices, in partnership with the Chief Clinical Officer and other key stakeholders. + Establish and maintain an environment where patients are the center of everything we do and aligned to our mission and values. + Achieve operational excellence in all responsible clinics through effective management of the Practice Management System (PMS), appointment book management, CRM tools, schedule and labor management in coordination with lab and clinical teams + Full P&L Responsibility for the territory + Understand, train, and articulate the financial performance of the practices. + Storytell the metrics, translating data into actionable insights for decision-making. + Utilize business reporting systems such as Power BI to manage the operations scorecard and provide weekly updates to the VP of Operations and ELT. + Recruit, hire and maintain a pipeline of talent for auxillary and lab staff and doctors. + Coach and develop auxillary staff and doctors to support practice operational success + Develop and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with doctors and team, fostering a consultative partnership + Lead recruitment, staffing, and organization efforts, serving as the hiring manager, when needed for practice-level roles. + Engage with practice employees to reinforce the importance of their roles and provide coaching on treatment planning, follow-up systems, and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); provide training, coaching, and development + Partner with support partners, such as training and lab to ensure practices have the tools, resources and support they need to achieve success + Take a proactive and strategic approach to operations management, anticipating needs and planning. + Diagnose clinic performance gaps and build strategic plan to improve the operational and financial health using PowerBi, P&L and marketing dashboards + Evaluate talent biannually for the purpose of succession planning, performance management and to develop strategic market level people planning to grow the business + Partner with Lab Regional Leaders to ensure operational efficiency and quality on in-clinic laboratories + Have a thorough understanding of practice management systems for example Dentrix and Weave, including schedule monitoring and staffing models; learn and know the ACI operating tools + Ensure that practices are well-equipped and staffed to meet operational demands. + Implement and maintain up to date Practice Visit Report for all practices + Recognize and support training needs in all practices. Perform onsite training whenever possible and in consideration of the practice financial condition. + Assist practices whenever possible throughout the day. Be present in the practice sharing and doing best practices to enhance the employee and patient experience. + Consistently follow up on all needs of the practice. + Drive a strong culture and environment that will support and enable all team members to be successful.
