This job is responsible for developing integrated digital content strategies for various digital products and/or lines of business, markets, or segments to advance business and customer goals. Develops content requirements and creates content strategy deliverables across a product or portfolio's lifecycle. Conducts audits, qualitative analyses, and gap analyses of content across products, markets, or segments. Works with marketing strategy, copywriters, SEO analysts, development, and digital product teams to ensure the delivery of content across channels. Maintains editorial and publishing calendars, style guides, taxonomies, metadata frameworks, and content migration plans.
**This role can be either hybrid or remote. If you are within 50 miles of an office you are required to be onsite 3 days a week - T, W, TH.**
**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Create and implement digital content strategies for a portfolio of digital products and channels to support customer and business goals. Develops digital content development plans for other teams within marketing.
+ Manages the content lifecycle for a product or portfolio by developing governance requirements and deliverables based on segments and markets.
+ Develop content marketing briefs for internal and external partners. May manage day-to-day relationships with partners and third party vendors.
+ Conducts and leads audits, qualitative, quantitative, and gap analyses across products, portfolios, and channels
+ Provides guidance and strategy to internal marketing partners, including copywriters, product management, marketing strategy, SEO analysts, etc.
+ Analyze and report on content effectiveness across markets, segments, and channels.

**EXPERIENCE**

+ 5 years of Marketing and Communications
+ 5 years in Communications Strategy

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required in public relations, journalism, communications, marketing, English or related field.
Minimum of three years experience in social media or digital media marketing experience required. Additionally, three years' experience leading social teams is beneficial. Experience with social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, LinkedIn, Reddit, Pinterest, Google My Business, etc.) required. What You'll Do
You will work closely with internal teams across product, research, education and other key stakeholders. This role will effectively integrate content into paid media efforts, as well as leverage any potential earned media opportunities.
You will help drive a new strategy for the newly formed nonprofit organization across key social media platforms: LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X, as well as seek out and develop new and emerging platforms that can help us expand our conversations across many new communities. In this role, you will:
* Own the content machine pulling from the brand's DNA, grounded in research and science.
* Translate science to society, engaging and educating new communities.
* Maximize engagement to encourage conversation, create sharing, talk value and advocacy.
* Lead the development and direct the implementation of a wide range of content forms, including video, text, still imagery, animation, live action and other content forms that best utilize the technology available on any given social media/digital platform.
* Work collaboratively with 23andMe Research Institute teams across business units to develop and execute creative ideas, plans and strategies.
* Manage social media vendors to scale publishing and provide analytic insights on strategy and engagement.
* Establish repeatable operational methodologies and mechanisms that enable frugal, fast and responsive content development and distribution.
What You'll Bring
* 5-7 years experience in social media, content creation, creative development, ideally in the science, research or nonprofit space.
* Proven track record of creating new, big ideas and strategy.
* Experience, passion and a love for building content and community through social media.
* Highly experienced about the functionality of all applicable social media platforms.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Self-starter who thrives in a high-pressure, ambiguous environment, bringing both creativity and critical thinking to deliver results.
* Ability to work in the Palo Alto offices for a minimum of three days per week.
Strongly Preferred
* Experience in health, science, research, and/or advocacy a plus.
* BS degree is a plus.
