Responsible for evaluating, developing, implementing, and coordinating resident admissions and marketing processes according to statutory, regulatory, and Community policies. Using a strong hospitality focus, implements various admission-generating activities including networking with potential referral sources, creating and maintaining relationships with community organizations, and coordinating regularly scheduled and special event planning
Essential Duties
Responsible for receiving inquiries regarding admission into the Community and organization and for dispensing information about the services and mission to relevant parties. Provides appropriate follow-up to inquiries made by prospective residents and families.
May be directed to create and foster relationships within the outside community by calling on potential referral sources, by networking with local churches and their senior groups, and meeting with discharge planners, etc.
As part of the sales team, is flexible in developing and implementing marketing and sales strategies to meet defined move-in objectives, census and sales goals. Also includes participation in event planning within the Community and external events.
Coordinates and schedules admissions and in-house move-ins and move-outs with all related departments.Coordinates paperwork, records and files relating to current and prospective residents.
With a professional and friendly approach, presents and explains admission packet to residents and family members. Ensures paperwork process is accurate and completed on a timely basis.
Conducts tours of the Community as needed for all interested parties and potential residents.
Coordinates assessment of potential admissions and communicates assessment result with relevant parties.
Ensures timely admission of residents to maintain cash flow and census.
Participates in surveys and other inspections made by authorized governmental agencies; is responsible for complying with statutory and regulatory standards.
Leads and models collaborative and supportive behaviors between and among all Community teams, CLC business entities.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications & Experience
1 - 3 years' experience in admissions and/or marketing preferably in a health care or senior services community
Knowledge of a variety of insurance regulations including Medicare and Medicaid regulations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience in Contact Management Software and Electronic Medical Records systems applicable to the job.
Must possess excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
Must possess excellent customer service skills.
Must possess a valid driver's license, in good standing.
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
Light physical effort required by handling objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently.
Sits, stands, bends and moves intermittently during working hours.
Is subject to frequent interruptions.
Interacts with residents, family members, visitors frequently.

California Animal Rehabilitation (CARE) is an integrative, holistic animal rehabilitation clinic housed in an 8,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility in west Los Angeles. We see mostly dogs, some cats, and the rare exotic small animal. Treatment modalities employed include: acupuncture, animal physical rehabilitation, underwater treadmill, pool swims, cold laser, "red" (wound healing) laser, ultrasound, pulsed signal therapy, tPEMF, acupuncture, western and Chinese herbology, homeopathy, electronical stimulation, massage, etc.
We are a full-scale facility with rehabilitation, orthotic and cart fittings, preventative fitness, boarding, and grooming available in-house.
Our unique treatment model pairs Doctors of Physical Therapy certified in canine rehabilitation with veterinarians certified in acupuncture and canine rehabilitation.
Our case breakdown is approximately:
40% neurological
40% orthopedic
20% miscellaneous other
Geriatric patients account for approximately 75% of cases
50 patients per day
Most of the hands-on experience would consist of palpation, demonstration of physical therapy modalities, involvement in case discussions, etc. ; the level of hands-on experience is dependent upon the extern her/himself. While we cannot allow externs to "treat" patients, we provide whatever hands-on experience is possible within that parameter.
The extern will be responsible for active attention and intellectual participation during observation of the full range of CARE's services.
• Geriatrics account for approximately 75% of our case load
• We see roughly 50 patients a day in total each day
• In general, each patient is seen by a physical therapist CCRT and a veterinarian CCRT during their session at CARE
• Your schedule would be arranged around your individual externship goals, and to make sure that you observe the full range of therapeutic services at CARE.
• You would observe multiple CCRTs during your externship
• Your hands-on experience would consist of demonstrating proficiency in the skills observed during your externship. You would not be the one to actually "treat" any patients.
• While with a Doctor of Physical Therapy, you would demonstrate stretches/ROM/manipulations you observed during the session

New England Animal Medical Center is a small hospital with a friendly atmosphere and core values of teamwork and professional development. The hospital houses a General Practice as well as Emergency/Critical Care and Surgery departments. Externs may rotate through all departments or focus on their own area(s) of interest. Externs will receive one-on-one mentoring by experienced clinicians and interact with our skilled support team. The hospital also hosts on-site small animal surgery and emergency/critical care internships.
We are fully equipped, including an on-site clinical laboratory for in-house bloodwork and cytology, computed tomography (CT), digital radiology, ultrasound, rigid and flexible endoscopy, oxygen cages, and patient monitoring (EKG, blood pressure, pulse oximetry, end-tidal CO2). In-house echocardiography and cardiology consultations are available three days a week. Abdominal ultrasounds are available Monday through Friday. We enjoy an excellent relationship with local veterinarians who refer a wide variety of emergency, urgent care, and surgical cases.

Applicants must be fourth-year students of accredited domestic or international veterinary schools, pursuing a DVM, VMD or foreign equivalent. Our Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center's Dallas-Fort Worth locations in Grapevine and North Dallas welcome fourth-year veterinary students to join us for a one-of-a-kind educational experience. Our student externs scrub in alongside board-certified surgeons for hands-on learning in a state-of-the-art facility that offers clients the most advanced surgical techniques available.
Program Overview:
The DVSC surgical externship program is open to fourth-year clinical students and available in flexible blocks based on your educational institution's requirements. You'll work closely with veterinary interns and associates on cases from intake to discharge, participate in rounds, and scrub in to assist our board-certified surgeons with neurologic, soft tissue, and orthopedic surgeries. The typical student schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can also choose to participate in emergency on-call cases.

Our surgeons also offer percutaneous laser disc ablation procedures and Kyon total hip replacement surgery.

The Florida Veterinary Referral Center (FVRC) externship program provides veterinary students the opportunity to gain experience in a state-of-the-art specialty referral and emergency facility dedicated to delivering both high-quality customer service and patient care. Our program is designed to allow veterinary students the option to choose from a variety of small animal clinical services such as Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Emergency & Critical Care. Students may select one area of interest or rotate through several services during their externship experience.
All students are expected to attend and participate in morning and evening hospital rounds, departmental rounds and lectures, and weekly intern topic rounds. Students are expected to review various cases observed during their rotation and be able to answer questions posed to them. Each student is provided ongoing access to our library to further assist them in their clinical knowledge and understanding of cases that they may have seen or discussed during their rotations.
All students work directly with the specialists within their assigned departments. In addition, students work closely with our group of emergency clinicians, interns, and highly trained technical staff, all of whom help to provide a comprehensive and rewarding learning experience at our referral hospital.
