A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HOTEL GUEST ROOM ATTENDANT

As a Guest Room Attendant, you arrive each day ready to get to work and do your part in ensuring that our guests are always greeted by a clean, stocked, and orderly home away from home. Since the condition of their room is one of the top things that guests address in hotel reviews, you play a critical role in our success! You clean rooms, clean public areas, investigate guest complaints, respond to requests, and follow up with guests. Fast and efficient, you work up to cleaning an average of 15 rooms a day.

You never cut corners but clean as if you were going to stay there yourself. With attention to detail, you dust and disinfect surfaces as well as polish glass windows and mirrors. You vacuum, sweep, mop, empty wastebaskets, and change linens. As scheduled, you also do any additional deep cleaning. You always report any required repairs, safety concerns, and lost items to the appropriate staff. Finally, you stock supplies and feel a sense of pride as you put the finishing touch on each room!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A GUEST ROOM ATTENDANT

Physically able to lift 25 lbs, stoop, bend, stretch, lift, and be on your feet as needed for general janitorial and housekeeping tasks

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

YOUR LIFE AS A GUEST ROOM ATTENDANT / HOUSEKEEPER

This full- or part-time position works anywhere from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Sunday.

As a Guest Room Attendant / Housekeeper, you come to work, eager to put your housekeeping skills to good use. You take care of general cleanliness to keep our guests comfortable. Whether you're cleaning floors, making beds, dusting surfaces, or cleaning bathrooms, you complete your tasks with enthusiasm and gusto!

When you arrive on shift, you are assigned rooms. You restock your cart and follow the checklist provided. Your keen eye for detail spots any areas that need extra attention in order to make them shine. Your love of cleaning serves you well, and we are happy to have you as part of our housekeeping team. You enjoy making our hotel feel like home!
