What Does A Guest Service Assistant Do At Aramark

* Sets up and breaks down the grill station
* Provides friendly and helpful customer service
* Takes the customer's order and prepares the order according to recipe, keeping in mind additional customer specifications or dietary needs
* Cooks items according to the specified cook times to ensure that they are safe for customer consumption
* Uses the correct portions when cutting and serving items
* Anticipates peak and non-peak service times; batch cooks food items accordingly
* Responsible for the appearance of food when serving to customers
* Restocks the station with condiments and food product as needed
* Adheres to the weekly/monthly cleaning schedules by completing the assigned tasks
* Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils
* Lifts food pans from warmer to the serving line
* Operates and cleans grill station (flat-top grill, char grill, hood vents, fryers, etc.)
* Safely operates a meat slicer and executes proper knife handling
* Additional Job Functions:
* Cross-trains at other stations at the location
* Works in other areas or departments as needed
* Completion of any task requested by a supervisor or member of the Aramark management team

What Does A Guest Service Assistant Do At Cleveland Clinic

* Provides transport services and assistance to patients and visitors.
* Receives assignments from Supervisor/Work leader/registrar; notifies appropriate desk of patient pick-up/arrival and obtains/returns charts.
* Ensures proper handling of patient's personal effects and equipment, e.g., oxygen tanks, IV's.
* Employs approved standard techniques in moving and transporting patients.
* Assists with lift team functions.
* Assists patients who cannot get in/out of wheelchairs and who are not ambulatory.
* Calls lift team if excessive.
* Assists patients when walking, if necessary.
* Performs courier functions.
* Delivers charts and plates to nursing units.
* Runs errands, as request, to patient care areas and other Foundation locations.
* Assists nursing staff upon patient arrival on nursing unit.
* Assists nurses in emergency situations such as triple or disaster codes and Mr.
* Strong, as requested.
* Delivers patients to the nursing desk and ensures that the hand-off is completed with the nursing staff.
* Performs general guest host functions.
* Directs patients and/or visitors to appropriate clinic or hospital locations, answers routine inquiries and provides general information regarding the Foundation.
* Retrieves wheelchairs, gurneys and oxygen tanks from various locations and delivers to appropriate storage areas.
* Responsible for checking levels of oxygen in tanks and reporting status to Prax Air at extension 453.
* Assists patients getting into and out of automobiles and buses, as necessary; supplies wheelchairs and other assistance to patients that may include calling taxicabs, RTA Response Bus and/or directions to nearby parking locations.
* Proactively seeks out patients or guests who may need assistance.
* Searches patient systems for visitor information.
* Performs dispatch functions.
* Receives and processes requests for patient transport requests, e.g., obtaining required data from requester including patient name, location, destination and special needs including oxygen, special care and mode of transportation.
* Prioritizes assignment of available Guest Hosts based on priority of request, e.g., critical situation, scheduled appointments, ASAP.
* Locates and retrieves necessary equipment to transport patients, e.g., oxygen tanks, IV poles, gurneys or carts, oversized wheelchairs.
* Calls lift team as necessary.
* Ensures special assigned tasks are performed, e.g., discharge escort, delivery of charts, etc.
* Reports daily activities and performance issues appropriately to work leader.
* Other duties as assigned
