DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work in conjunction with other departments to resolve customer disputes & demonstrate the ability to become proficient in the use of proprietary operational systems.
Interviews customers and records interview information into computer for customer service, talks with customers by phone and in person, to receive orders for installation, turn on, discontinuance, or change in service.
Fills out contract forms, determines charges for service requested, collects deposits, prepares change of address records and issues discontinuance orders.
Demonstrate effective use of software applications, at a minimum MS Word and Excel proficient.
Delivers services to customers in a manner that promotes goodwill. Interacts with customers and Waste Connections employees to determine service requirements and resolve problems or complaints.
Work in a fast paced, cooperative, high call volume environment. Solicit sale of new or additional services.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Work environment is an office setting. Areas are clean, ventilated, and well lighted. Our Customer Service Reps normally have their own workstation or cubicle space and are equipped with a telephone, headset, and computer.
CSR call areas can be noisy and work may be repetitious and stressful, with little time in between calls, while still providing excellent service. Some calls are evaluated to ensure high standards.
Also, long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen are common.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English.
2 years of Customer Service experience in a high call volume atmosphere.
Experience with MS Word, Excel, and Email
preferred
. Typing and 10-key skills are required.
Excellent organization and communication skills.
Ability to analyze and solve problems. Gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
College degree strongly preferred.
Collections experience strongly preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY
The GuestServiceRepresentative (GSR) is responsible for providing attentive, courteous and efficient service to all guests prior to arrival and throughout their stay. They will accommodate campground guests by registering, issuing keys, keeping proper record of occupied sites, making and confirming reservations and collecting payments. The GSR will help maintain a clean, well-stocked and organized store.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
Greet and welcome all guests approaching the front desk in accordance with KOA standards.
Resolve guest concerns and complaints in a thoughtful manner while maintaining campground standards.
Prepare reports as required, relating to shift check-list, and down-time reports.
Answer inquiries from guests regarding campground amenities and local attractions.
Fully comprehend and be able to operate all relevant aspects of the campground property management system.
Ensure logging and delivery of all messages, packages and mail in a timely and professional manner.
Be familiar with all in-house groups.
Establish and maintain good communications and teamwork with fellow associates and other departments within the campground and utilize proper two-way radio etiquette at all times.
Oversee and ensure that all guests are checked in/out in a friendly, efficient and courteous manner.
Adhere to policies regarding handling of cash drawer while following specific KOA cash and credit card handling procedures.
Notify management of any pertinent information related to daily shift activities.
Maintain high standards of professionalism, customer service, quality and cleanliness.
Maintain store displays and inventory control as directed, and communicate ideas and guest feedback.
Increase revenues through up-selling strategies and profitability of ancillary income.
Maintain health standards and ensure guests and team members are in a safe and secure environment.
Foster a work environment that maximizes employee involvement, morale and is dedicated to delivering KOAs Culture, Mission, Values and Goals.

You are THE point of contact for our guests and other departments for information on lift tickets, season passes, lift openings and closures, restaurants around the mountain, activities and special events on and off the mountain, as well as other services that Big Sky Resort provides on and off the mountain.
Excellent guestservice, basic computer skills, flexibility in a workplace (that is greatly affected by the outdoor environment), the ability to learn quickly and work independently are all a must.
Prior resort and POS experience is a plus. Indoor approximately 90% of the time, outdoor approximately 10% of the time.
