Summary - A GuestServiceRepresentative is responsible for assisting patrons during events in ushering, ticket taking, crowd management and guestservices in the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center, Sioux Falls Arena, and Convention Center. GuestServicesRepresentative duties include the following:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Guest relations activities include greeting and directing guests, screening guests for prohibited items, securing areas, responding to emergency situations, ensuring the safety of all guests, and reacting to requests for service and assistance.
Have a full working understanding of the specific event post (i.e., ticket takers, ushers, security, crowd control, door screeners and guest relations) and possess the ability to communicate with patrons. Anticipate problems and appropriate solutions.
Ensuring there is an effective and efficient response to patron issues through 2-way radio communication.
Observe employee and crowd behavior before, during, and after events.
Keep unauthorized persons out of restricted areas.
Represent the company in a polite and professional manner using proper customer service skills.
Direct customer service complaints and inquiries to proper manager/supervisor.
Abide by facility rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Use a ticket scanner to allow patrons into facilities.
Assist patrons according to ticket information.
Promote a safe working environment for all employees by following the emergency program as needed.
Will be required to have open availability to work events on an on-going basis including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Maintains the proper image and generates positive public relations with patrons and staff.
Pick up loose debris/garbage following event.
Performs other duties assigned by the GuestServices Manager.
Qualifications:

Responsibilities
Greet guests and manage check-ins and check-outs
Handle reservations, cancellations, and room assignments
Assist guests with questions, directions, and local recommendations
Address and resolve guest concerns professionally
Maintain accurate guest records and room key inventory
Support front desk operations as needed
Requirements:
Experience with an IHG branded hotel highly desired
Be able to manage time effectively, complete required tasks on time
Knowledge of and ability to operate computer equipment and the reservations system.
Education & Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent required
Stable work history required
Strong understand of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Need to be a team player - if you like to work on an island by yourself, this won't be a good fit for you!
Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary
Must be effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying and resolving the concerns and issues raised by guests

Reports to: Front Desk Manager
Front desk activities of the resort include resolving problems arising from guest complaints, completing reservation and room assignment activities and addressing
unusual requests or inquiries by performing the following duties:
Responsibilities
Provides excellent guestservice.
Is thoroughly familiar with all lodges and activities in Custer State Park.
Works closely with the Central Reservations staff to receive reservations or
monitor changes.
Monitors the posting of payments and changes to ensure their accuracy and
completeness.
Works on a continual basis with the housekeeping and maintenance departments
regarding current status of available rooms/cabins.
Answers inquiries pertaining to resort policies and services and park activities.
May be assigned other duties, at times in other departments, as the need arises
to support fellow staff members in achieving the company mission.
Qualifications
