You're on your own for career development, it can be hard to find mentors. Pivots are almost comically predictable. Soft numbers can make it difficult to effect change. Execs talk about not managing top-down, but it's extremely influenced by top-down management. Has been known to have a fear-based, finger pointing culture among higher level management.
