As editor-in-chief of Guitar Player, I develop content that celebrates the players, gear and techniques that make the guitar the most influential instrument of our time. I have combined expertise in digital and print content strategy and creation for the music entertainment industry. As editor-at-large, I've written books on such diverse topics as the making of the Beatles' 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band,' the Summer of Love, the psychology of cats and dogs, the science and history of eclipses, the mystery of UFOs, and the colorful history of the circus. My publications include Guitar Aficionado: The Collections, a best-selling large-format book featuring many of the world’s most epic guitars, the stories behind them, and the artists and collectors who own them-from Jimmy Page’s 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard to Rick Nielsen’s 1953 Fender Telecaster. The Collections was an Amazon #1 Best Seller by its third week of release. Over the years, I have interviewed dozens of musical artists, including Jack White, Elvis Costello, Pete Townshend, Sheryl Crow, and Marilyn Manson, and I’ve written extensively about the Beatles through first-hand interviews with key members of the group’s production team. I have also written numerous pieces about the work of celebrated music photographers, such as Bob Gruen (John Lennon), Mark Seliger (Willie Nelson), Mick Rock (David Bowie), Henry Diltz (Joni Mitchell), and Ethan Russell (the Who).
