Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY
The Fulfillment Pharmacy Technician Specialist is responsible for picking, labeling, packing, and shipping medication and/or supplies to fill patient orders; accurately dispenses products as entered by the PCC as stated on the generated delivery ticket and/or prescription labels. Count product and perform a quality check to ensure sorting and filling per the label instructions provided.
Prepare packaging container for all ship items ensuring that containers are labeled and addressed accurately to appropriate patients, per quality control measures.
Verify expiration dates and ensure accuracy of supplies for each business segment, held to high level of accuracy standards and metrics.
Ensure appropriate rotation cycle and lot numbers are also verified.
Assist with various other projects and duties as assigned.

We are looking for an energetic and dependable sterile compounding Technician who will serve as a group leader of sterile compounding technicians and/or sterile support staff during daily compounding operations. As a Pharmacy Technician at Adena Health System, you'll be a vital member of our pharmacy team, working under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support safe, effective, and efficient medication management. This role encompasses pharmacy operations across multiple care settings, including hospital, cancer center, and home care services.
You will play a critical role in maintaining medication distribution systems, assisting in day-to-day pharmacy operations, and contributing to exceptional patient care. While responsibilities vary slightly by department, all technicians are united by a shared focus on accuracy, collaboration, and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Support medication preparation and distribution, including non-controlled and controlled substances
Maintain inventory, restock medications, and ensure accurate labeling and storage
Assist with documentation, medication order entry, and fulfillment processes
Collaborate closely with pharmacists and healthcare teams to ensure compliance with safety standards and best practices
May provide direct patient support and education as delegated by a pharmacist
Ensure protection of patient confidentiality, medication security, and financial information
Participate in quality assurance, audits, and compliance processes as needed
Perform responsibilities across varied care settings including inpatient hospital, oncology, and home care
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Licensure with the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy (must be one of the following):
Certified Pharmacy Technician
Pharmacy Intern License
Nationally Certified Technician with active Tech Trainee status
Registered Technician (must attain Certification within 6 months of hire)
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to safety protocols
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced healthcare environment
