Duties and Responsibilities

Or will receive a bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement. The Position: The Game Art Department is seeking a Game Designer to join our full-time faculty and contribute to the continued strength and evolution of the program. The successful candidate will bring professional experience in game design and development, with demonstrated ability to guide projects from concept through prototype to polished completion. Faculty will teach three courses (nine credits) per semester, ranging from introductory to advanced work in game design, level design, and interactive systems development. Instruction will cover ideation and prototyping, core mechanics design, systems balance, level design, player psychology, UX principles, iteration through playtesting, and design documentation, translating these principles into performant, playable experiences in Unreal Engine 5. Education, Experience, Licenses and Certifications
Education and Experience:
* Graduation from high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma is preferred.
* Minimum age of 18.
* Two (2) years of paid lifeguard experience required.
(A comparable amount of relevant training, education and/or experience may be substituted for the above qualifications.)
Licenses and Certifications:
* Current nationally accredited Lifeguard and/or First Aid CPR certification.
* Possession of, or ability to obtain, American Red Cross Waterfront Lifeguard certification.
* Bilingual in English/Ukrainian or English/Russian is highly preferred.
Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Florida drivers license
Emergency Response Responsibility
Every City employee has emergency response responsibilities, though not every position will require routine assignments during an emergency event. All employees are subject to recall around the clock for emergency response operations, which may require irregular work hours, work at locations other than the normal work location, and may include duties other than those specified in the employee's official job description. Position Responsibilities:
Within the structure of the academy golf program, prepare and deliver a high quality Golf training program aimed at achieving the group and individual objectives for student-athletes in their group.
Have open two-way communication between student-athletes, parents and guardians, on the progress of the student-athlete and the plans and goals that have been set.
Advise the student-athletes on tournament schedules, pre-tournament preparation, post tournament review, and benchmarks for optimizing and measuring performance
Gain and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the instruction equipment and methodologies incorporated into the academy golf program
Interact with the golf student-athletes as a mentor and as an educator of their sport and life. Continually assess the skill and emotional development of each student-athlete, and liaise with Golf program management to ensure all internal and external partners are utilized to support each student-athletes ongoing comprehensive development.
Act as an advocate communicating with the student-athlete, parent or guardian regarding their overall development in sport, school and campus life
Assist in the college placement of the student-athlete as required
Work closely with all members of the golf team to continually review program structure, content, delivery, objectives, and resources, making recommendations where changes could improve quality or opportunities to grow the business.
Support recruiting and retention initiatives aimed at current and prospective student-athletes as required
