Main Purpose:

Essential Functions:
Review sales orders, bill of materials, drawings, and/or purchase requisitions to determine requirements for parts, materials, and/or subcontracted services. Utilizing the Company Approved Vendors, send bid inquiries to a minimum of three potential vendors requesting quotation via, mail, fax, or e-mail
Compile and analyze returned quotes, selecting the best quote with consideration to price, conformance to specification requirements, quality, and delivery timetable
Makes final purchasing decisions based on price, delivery, experience, and discretion
Prepare and issue purchase order and obtain confirmation of order from the selected vendor
Expediting purchase orders to ensure on time deliveries
Is responsible for meeting company's budgetary expenditures and continuous cost reductions

* Conduct and / or participate in accident investigations as needed and prepare reports accordingly

* Assist in the issuance of necessary safety equipment to personnel as the need may arise and ensures that the safety department has a sufficient inventory of safety equipment and is maintained for distribution
* Assist in the preparation of weekly safety reports, accident "first report of injury" reports, BST Meeting Minutes, and applicable quarterly and annual reports (total man hours vs. OSHA Recordables, LTA, First Aids, etc.), including OSHA 300 reports.

Main Purpose: To perform all job duties involved in rigging-up slings, shackles, etc. used to lift/install/move materials (a pipe, plate, etc.) or structures, equipment, or materials either from one location of the yard to another or on Offshore locations or Offsite locations, including load-outs safely and efficiently.

* Supply welding crafts with needed materials
* Coordinate crane activity for transport materials

* Assist crane and cherry picker operators by hooking up slings and loading cables to materials or structures as required
* Set up skid/rail components to load completed structures onto barges or offload networks from barges to assigned locations in the fabrication yard
* Assist crane operators, cherry picker operators, and maintenance personnel (mechanics) in performing routine maintenance work on cherry pickers, cranes, etc.
* Report all defective rigging equipment (slings, shackles, etc.) to the rigging foreman immediately
* Install rigging on loads to maneuver over, under, or around obstacles, using multi-point suspension techniques
* Assist in cleaning up work areas as needed (including barges) before a beginning lift or load-out operations
* Assist with set up water pumps on barges as required to prepare for load-outs

* Assist in controlling the movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces, using chain falls beam clamps, cable/nylon slings, and other certified lifting equipment

* Properly rig slings to ensure proper alignment of load before moving the freight

About this Role
A Safety Coordinator for Irby Construction Company should possess a minimum of three (3) years of experience in the Safety and/or Training field and a minimum of two (2) years of continuous Electric Transmission and/ or Substation construction and maintenance experience. What You'll Do
Measures Field Managements work to ensure that it is being performed safely according to specifications.
Adheres to all Company Safety policies while in the course of conducting Company business.
Observe employees at work and document both positive and constructive feedback on safety behavior using company forms and check sheets.
Compile crew observation forms, vehicle and equipment forms and submit documents to project supervision and the corporate safety department at required intervals.
Ensure inspection on equipment, tools, vehicles, working conditions and procedures are being performed for the safety of employees engaged in the construction and maintenance of overhead and underground power and telecommunication systems.
Inspect climbing equipment, fall protection equipment, rigging practices, rigging equipment, personal protective equipment, rubber, and plastic insulating equipment.
Removes from service any defective equipment, or equipment not meeting safety requirements.
Use as a guide all appropriate federal, state and company manuals to determine regulatory and policy compliance.
Inspect facilities, vehicles, and equipment to ensure the presence of required firefighting equipment, first aid supplies required safety equipment and placards, signs, warning labels and current inspection labels.
Coordinate with customer representatives, insurance carrier loss consultants and federal or state agencies to perform site inspections.
When safety policy noncompliance or unsafe behavior is observed, correct issues and report to Superintendent or Project Management.
Coordinate with project supervision to develop a project safety committee and act as the facilitator on that committee.
Coordinate with project supervision to schedule weekly project safety meeting, daily job briefing, and tailgate safety meeting as needed.
Work in conjunction with project safety committee to investigate safety violations, accidents and near miss incidents, determine root cause of accidents, and coordinate with project and senior management to develop corrective and/or preventative measures.
Performs job hazard analysis to determine site specific hazards and coordinate with all levels of project supervision to eliminate, guard, and protect employees, customers, and the general public from recognized hazards.

Conducts formal and systematic reviews of the facility to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations for environmental affairs and health and safety.
Identifies problems and recommends corrections; prioritizes and follows-up on corrections regarding areas of non-compliance or potential non-compliance.
Advises corporate and facility management regarding procedural and operational measures to be taken to correct or minimize non-compliant activities regarding environmental regulations.

Full-time Description
Main Purpose:
To perform job functions required and assigned in the fabrication of structural/piping materials per the contract/job specifications and quality assurance requirements/fitting procedures and established ISO/QC program standards. The Welder's job duties are to properly weld structure or pipe to construct a drilling deck. This position is located Offshore in the Gulf of America, formerly known as the Gulf of Mexico.
Essential Functions:
Set and operate welding machine for applicable welding processes.
Perform welding processes assigned for structural, pipe, and welding projects.
Pass required welding test per AWS D1.1 latest edition, ASME section IX, and API 1104.
Maintain quality of welding that can pass NDT testing procedures.
Perform welding assignments safely and efficiently, always practicing safety.
Operate appropriate hand tools (chipping hammers, grinders, etc.)
Weld separately or in combination, using aluminum, stainless steel, cast iron, carbon steel, and other alloys.
Select and install torches, torch tips, filler rods, and flux according to welding chart specifications or any thickness of metals.
Determine required equipment and welding methods, applying knowledge of welding techniques.
Connect and turn regulator valves to activate and adjust gas flow and pressure to obtain desired flames.
Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking distortion, or expansion of the material.
Expertly welds small, medium, and large structural and pipes of various metals and alloys.

All appropriate safety equipment used to perform their everyday welding duties (welding shields, goggles, hard hats, etc.)
Environmental Conditions:
80 to 90% of the work activities are performed outdoors.
Individuals will be required to work in changes of temperature, hot, cold, humid, wet, and dry conditions, dust, mud, etc.
May also be exposed to fumes (Paint, paint thinners, diesel, /or gas, etc.)
