High School Diploma or GED required. 8 years aviation maintenance experience (avionics, electrical, and/or mechanical) to include 4 years of relevant Gulfstream aircraft experience. A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license required. Valid Driver's License required. *Position Purpose*:Perform various technical functions of aircraft maintenance, repair, replacement, and modification of key aircraft components to ensure proper operation. * Repair, maintain, install, and troubleshoot mechanical and functional components of the aircraft including airframes, engine components, landing gear, electrical components, and control systems .
* Coordinate with inspection to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements .
* Properly complete work order sign-offs, shift turnovers, and other paper work in a timely manner .
* Ensure that all work accomplished meets quality standards and specifications .
* Properly identify (tag) customer property and equipment. Store aircraft components and other customer property securely and safely .
* Follow standard operating procedures and JSAs when operating ground support equipment .
* Operate and oversee use of special support equipment used in removal and installations of major components .
* Coordinate with other departments to arrange for the overhaul or repair of customer property as needed .
Additional Functions:
* Apply 6S and Lean Initiatives to keep shops, hangars, and aircraft work areas clean .
* Properly use and maintain company-provided tools and equipment .
* Act on behalf of Lead, as needed .
* Coordinate movement of aircraft, as required. .
* Maintain advanced knowledge of FAA regulations, process specifications, Repair Station and Quality Control manuals, and company policies and procedures .

* Inspects, repairs, and maintains aircraft and components including engines, wings, fuselage, tail, landing gear, control cables, propeller and fuel system etc.
* All work is inspected and documented IAW Repair Station Manuals and Processes.
* Consults aircraft maintenance manuals and manufacturers' manuals for specifications to determine the extent of repair or replacement of part(s).
* Proficiently Troubleshoot airframe and engine issues for defects and corrects any problems according to the specifications of the MFG Maintenance Manual.
* Able to have a basic understanding of the Avionics systems and able to troubleshoot on a basic level.
* Perform Scheduled inspections on GA type aircraft.
* Perform engine replacements.
* Taxi and tug aircraft.
* Adhere to CAE's strong safety policies. This includes wearing proper PPE and reporting safety related incidents.
* Comply with CAE's repair station quality standards. Training will be provided upon hiring.
* Willingness to help train new employees and coach other techs along their way.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Position Description
The Senior Aviation Mechanic will help maintain the company's aircraft to remain in a continuous state of airworthiness. They will assist the Flight Department in day-to-day operations and ensure expectations are met efficiently and safely. They may perform additional duties as needed to support flight operations, including aircraft cleaning and passenger assistance.
Responsibilities:
Perform towing, ground handling, assist fueling, and cleaning of company aircraft.
Support aircraft departures and arrivals:

Handle passenger baggage
Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, including troubleshooting and repairing discrepancies
Serve as Crew Chief for assigned aircraft:

Manage aircraft maintenance publications, return-to-service procedures, service bulletins, and airworthiness directives

The Aircraft Refueling Technician is responsible for providing efficient service for all internal and external customers by using excellent, in-depth knowledge of company procedures and proper ground handling of aircraft as well as communicating effectively with customers, pilots, and team members within the customer service department.

* Sheet Metal: 80%
* Perform layout of sheet metal parts by measuring and scribing in preparation for cutting and forming operations:
* Cut raw materials allowing for bend requirements, flanges, and crimping.
* Provide nesting arrangements for cutting the maximum number of parts from standard size metal sheets.
* Prepare patterns and/or templates to simplify manufacturing processes and to assure proper dimensions.
* Install sheet metal parts and assemblies in aircraft; assure that installations are attached without endangering aircraft structure or systems operation and function.
* Conduct structural and operational checks and completes troubleshooting of sheet metal mechanical installations.
* Perform work from three-dimensional blueprints, sketches, diagrams, technical manuals, work orders, inspection reports, and other similar documentation.
* Diagnose the cause of malfunctions, identifies failures and determines corrective action to restore systems to required operating specifications and standards.
* Perform required corrective action by making repairs, adjustments or replacements.
* Perform work from blueprints, sketches, vendor and service manuals, and other source data to obtain dimensions, locations, alignment, tolerances and other specification requirements.
* Use a variety of standard and specialized hand tools, power equipment, measuring devices and test equipment in completing work assignments.
* Maintain close working relationship with assigned lead and QA person with regards to schedules, priorities, parts issues

Complete your toolbox audit sheets on a daily basis at the end of the shift.
Complete forms and records pertaining to completion of assigned work.
Cleanliness: 5%
Maintain daily a “clean as we go” work place.
Toolboxes will be clean and free of all F.O.D. at the end of the shift.
Tools will be placed in their proper shadowed cutouts to verify no tool is unaccounted for

Vision: able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings on a daily basis.
Hearing: able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms on a daily basis.
Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications on a daily basis.
Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts on a daily basis.
Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs on a daily basis.

Walking (includes routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces on a daily basis.
Travel: To be able to travel independently and at short notice as needed or required.
