What Will You Do?
In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:
Implementing and supporting projects and programs to protect people, processes, equipment, products, and the environment from injury, risk, and economic loss.
Work directly with EHS personnel, operations teams, and other support functions as a EHS resource; providing safety program updates, updating EHS documents including but not limited to job hazard analysis, and process documents.
Coordinate and conduct training, audits, program reviews and hazard identification as needed.
Maintain EHS metric boards, prepare documentation for review, and coordinate submission of regulatory reports.
Update required EHS and safety training documents to promote safety awareness and address unsafe behavior and conditions.
Work with site personnel on JSA's or other hazard assessments.

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:
We require interns to be enrolled in an educational program during the duration of the internship program.
Education in a relevant area of study such as Environmental, Heath, and Safety or Engineering.
Student in good standing at an accredited educational institution with a grade point average of at least 3.0.
Knowledge of current and relevant Federal and State EHS regulations and best practices.
Excellent writing/verbal communication, analytical, and presentation skills with the ability to interact effectively in a team.
Accomplished computer skills including Microsoft Office applications and database experience.
Self-directed and able to work without or minimal supervision.
Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas.

Program Overview
Our Summer Internship Program offers real-world exposure to Environmental, Health & Safety practices in a manufacturing environment while contributing to meaningful projects from day one. Over 10 weeks, you will gain:

What You'll Do
As an EHS Intern, you will:
Assist in conducting safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
Support compliance activities related to OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards.
Help develop and update training materials, safety procedures, and emergency response plans.
Analyze EHS data and recommend improvements to reduce incidents and ensure compliance.
Complete a capstone intern project and present results to leadership.
Qualifications
We're seeking motivated students who are ready to learn, grow, and contribute:
Currently pursuing a degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field.

PURPOSE:
Under the general supervision of the Senior Director of Health and Wellness Services and day-to-day work direction of the Health Promotion and Prevention Manager, the Health Educator is responsible for selected components of the Health Promotion and Education Program. This position supports the overall program by researching, developing, and maintaining health promotion materials, as well as planning, conducting, and evaluating health-related programs, events, workshops, and trainings. This position promotes awareness of services offered at the Campus Health Center and works collaboratively with the Personal Growth & Counseling Center, Student Disability and Accessibility Center, Campus Advocate, Campus Chaplaincy, and the third-party administrator of the Campus Health Center. All work is performed consistent with appropriate professional standards established by organizations such as the American Public Health Association and the American College Health Association.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
Leads, plans, implements, and promotes health education programming, including, but not limited to, alcohol and other drug education, nutrition, reproductive health, tobacco cessation, physical activity, and mental health. Responsible for the oversight of Health and Wellness Services' social media accounts.
Delivers health promotion programs, events, workshops, and trainings to the campus community. Provides consultation with students in health-related areas such as alcohol and other drug education, nutrition, reproductive health, smoking cessation, physical activity, and mental health. Includes infectious diseases educational sessions for the campus community (i.e., science of origins, testing, contact tracing, vaccine development, and safety information).
Provides oversight and supervision of students voluntarily participating in the POWER Peer Education program.
Collaborates with stakeholders across campus and within the local community for the purpose of addressing broad programmatic issues, identifying student health needs and enhancing the delivery of related programming. Serves on campus teams and/or committees as appropriate or necessary. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an approved program in health education or a related field. Equivalent to one or two years of progressively responsible health education experience or combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge and abilities.
SPECIALIZED SKILLS:
Strong background in alcohol, tobacco, and other drug education, with demonstrated competency in harm reduction and multi-systemic interventions. Proficient in the use of personal computers, including word processing, spreadsheets, and database software. Position Responsibilities:
Follow policies and procedure related to general behavioral health service and delivery.
Complete planned staff training programs/classes related to clinical topics to be provided by the agency.
Work with individuals, groups and communities to improve mental health
Encourage clients to discuss emotions and experiences.
Examine and be prepared to lead sessions regarding substance abuse, aging, bullying, anger management, self-image, stress and suicide.
Ensure counseling sessions are developed to facilitate the client meeting his/her treatment goals.
Help clients define goals, plan action and gain insight.
Develop therapeutic process.
Take a holistic approach to mental health care.
Communicate; work with peers, to ensure the agency as a whole is working towards the benefit of each client.
Review documentation and provide input into services outlined for client.
Participate in CFTs, when applicable.
Inform Administrator of concerns of clients or staff in regards to the safety of the client (in their home and/or at the agency).
Follow all federal, state and agency guidelines for reporting abuse.
Complete all paperwork on time, accurately and professionally.
Meet with Clinical Director/Supervisor to ensure supervision and education hours are met.
Maintain all confidentiality of client's case is maintained.
