Job Description
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
* Process pick tickets and material requests by pulling, issuing, and transporting parts to support manufacturing, service centers, spare parts sales, backshops and/or distribution centers .
* Operate material handling equipment and company vehicles to move materials between departments and designated locations.
* Unload, inspect, and document freight .
* Maintain inventory accuracy through proper data entry and use of inventory management systems (i.e. SAP, Corridor, etc.) .
* Coordinate material flow to support schedules and customer demands, including AOG and other critical needs .
* Demonstrate a commitment to safety and quality throughout daily operations by following established procedures, identifying potential hazards, and ensuring all work meets regulatory and company standards .
* Handle, transport and prepare shipment of Dangerous Goods in accordance with DOT, FAA and other applicable standards .
* Ensure adherence to brand protection and material handling standards .
* Elevate discrepancies with clear communication and follow-up actions .
* Maintain clean environment .
* Participate in improvement initiatives .
* Ability to meet qualifications to obtain (one of) CDI, Q, PQ or RI stamps .
* Support inventory accuracy goals through regular and accurate cycle counting .
* Support inventory control processes by using handheld scanners for picking, putaway, and cycle count activities .
Additional Functions:
* Ability to obtain certification to operate material handling equipment and meet all training requirements .
* Support Lean and sustainability initiatives .
* Assist in inventory audits .

Manage capacity and commitments with ocean and land carriers, ensuring optimal resource utilization taking into consideration the fluctuating nature of the commodities market.
Arrange drayage bookings based on available capacity and contractual obligations.
Coordinate with ocean carriers, freight forwarders, drayage companies and warehouses on scheduling and tracking the status of shipments by monitoring key shipment milestones.
Processes our customers' purchase orders, oversees regional offices' sales orders and all related requests such as: obtaining price and credit approvals and securing product allocation
Review order details and ensure they are in compliance with US Customs and Border Protection regulations and company policies and procedures, such as: road weights restrictions at destination, documentation required, Trade Agreements, Power of Attorneys, validate HS codes and Product Description, provides all the necessary information for routed transactions, validate the FOB value.
Effectively communicates order status to external customers and overseas regional offices, including vessel delays, roll overs, split shipments, backorder information and future, documentation status order confirmations.

About This Role:

The essential responsibilities and duties of this position are:
* Oversee all white glove logistics partnerships, including management of fixture deliveries, transfers, and disposals; ensure adherence to brand presentation standards and service-level expectations.
* Serve as business lead for all domestic and international freight programs (Air, Ocean, and LTL); manage freight broker relationships, evaluate bids and spot quotes, and ensure carrier alignment with cost, compliance, and service objectives.

* Act as key liaison between internal departments (Logistics, Sales Support, Purchasing, Finance, and Distribution Centers) and external logistics providers to ensure alignment of goals, expectations, and performance.

What will you be doing?

Re-sets instrument trays for office sets and works with CPD staff to locate any missing instrumentation post-surgery. Acquires un-used implants from holding area that are to be returned to the OSC.
Records daily delivery information on a delivery log including mileage driven, number of stops, time per stop, fuel/maintenance purchases.
Develop and maintain working knowledge of existing products and new product introductions (instruments and implants) to effectively function in the field regarding proper delivery and pickups. Ability to proactively identify errors and omissions in deliveries/ pickups to eliminate redundancy in required stops.
Communicates effectively and professionally with Office Staff, Sales Representatives and all third-party end-users, including but not limited to Hospital Receiving, Central Processing, and Operating Room Staff. Fields customer complaints and communicates them as necessary to OSC staff.
Dress in a professional manner as a representative of the company, this may entail wearing Smith and Nephew logoed apparel at the discretion of supervising manager
When not directly engaged in courier responsibilities assist in Office, Sales and OSC duties as required.
Assists OSC staff and Inventory Specialist in analyzing and deciding the best options for local delivery based on time, cost, and vehicle availability, with respect to multiple locations and extremely time-sensitive shipments.
Communicates with office staff and/or the sales force when changes from original flight plans become necessary due to weather, mechanical failure of the aircraft, or flight cancellations. Routes shipments via the most appropriate method and confirms updated delivery information such as flight number and departure and arrival times.
Carries cellular phone and required tracking device on person at all times in order to communicate effectively regarding pickups and deliveries. Overtime / call will be required to accommodate emergency situations and facilitate changing surgical schedules.
Prepares and transports hazardous materials as required, including packaging and preparation of shipping documents. Also assists with hazardous material transportation training program.
What will you need to be successful?
Minimum two years college with classes in operations, customer service or distribution desired. In lieu of college classes, a combination of education and above experience totaling four years is required. 4-year bachelor's degree preferred.

Requirements
As a LogisticsSpecialist you are required to:
Clean driving record for the past 7 years from the State of Massachusetts
Ability to become forklift certified within 30 days
100% drug-free
Must be able to pass a road test conducted by Clover leadership
Must be able to provide an official copy of current driving record and DOT card
Experience with cleaning and maintenance of vehicles
Excellent customer service skills
Strong verbal communication skills
Stamina to lift heavy items
Must share a passion for food and hard work, must lift the spirits of those around them
The ability to stand for prolonged periods of time, and repeated walking, bending, stretching, and lifting 50 pounds or more, with or without reasonable accommodation
Able to work a varied schedule that includes nights and weekends

Our ingredients are sourced from local farms and businesses and are prepared into delicious guilt-free meals without the help of freezers or microwaves. We currently operate 11 restaurants in the Boston area, a Commissary Kitchen in Cambridge, and a local Meal-Box delivery program. As a driver you will help to load, pack, unpack, deliver, and transport product. Generally, our drivers will spend their time transporting food from our commissary kitchen to our restaurants in and delivering Meal Kit Boxes to our customers.
Some of the LogisticsSpecialists Duties will look like...
Move large containers of food from the Clover commissary to our food trucks, restaurants, and delivery addresses.
Load and unload vans
Deliver Meal Kit Boxes up to 30-miles outside Boston/Cambridge
Drive a 14-foot van/truck, including parallel-parking and backing into tight loading docks
Manually hoist heavy items
Perform vehicle inspections and inventory checks
Complete and submit paperwork
Interact professionally with Clover employees and customers
Assist with the coordination of driver routes and schedules
