Line Service Team Lead in GAC Long Beach
Unique Skills:
This role will be on 1st Shift, Tuesday through Friday. It will be based in Long Beach, but will also lead Line Service in Van Nuys, and applicant should expect to travel back and forth.
The compensation range for this role is $30.36 - $35.42 per hour.
Final compensation for this role will be determined by several factors including but not limited to: minimum and preferred qualifications, knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, and location.

Education and Experience Requirements High School Diploma or GED required. Good problem solving skills and strong written/verbal communication skills. Must be computer literate and able to use Microsoft Office computer software. 6 years experience with FBO type fueling services, aircraft ground movement and signaling procedures. 2 years supervisory experience. Valid Driver's License Upon Hire . Position Purpose:Plans and directs the movement of aircraft on, to and from the ramp and within the hangars, in support of customers. They are responsible for ensuring adequate quantities of clean, dry fuel is available for use through the proper planning, testing and treatment of the product. Responsible for the day-to-day management of line service personnel, fueling vehicles, and tank farm/fuel system operation, PMQC (Preventive Maintenance and Quality Control) of fueling assets, procurement of all Into-Plane and Tank Farm replacement parts, manpower scheduling of the tank farm and line employees, vehicle safety, compliance to regulatory and industry specifications, produce quality control, and maintenance records. Plans and directs the arrival, parking, refueling, loading, and departure of all aircraft. Job Description Principle Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Functions:
Ensure compliance with federal, state and company safety, EPA regulations and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) inspection or review .
Perform personnel actions to include interviewing, scheduling, training, appraising performance, addressing employee issues, creating a safe work environment, assignment of work .
Plan, assign and review work of subordinates .
Support implementation of policies, practices, procedures, and audits adherence to them .
Perform quality control testing and inspections. Control microbiological growth in fuel through regular testing and treatment. Maintains fuel processes and internal controls .
Schedule maintenance of equipment and perform maintenance as needed .
Maintain adequate fuel supplies to support company requirements and schedules tanker deliveries as required.
Monitor and request all supplies and equipment needed in operation, coordinating activities with other departments .
Develop and implement ramp operation and line service operational policies and procedures .
Supervise and assist with ramp operations such as towing, fueling, wing-walking, directing and parking aircraft as necessary .
Plan and maintain systems and procedures for operating efficiency .
Maintains station operational reports and statistics for their shift/ area .
Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues .
Additional Functions:
Promote individual and team safety .
Prepare billing paperwork and fuel consumption reports. Maintain fuel related records and files .
Apply 6S and Lean Initiatives to maintain good housekeeping and safety in all areas to include ramp and hangar areas .
Perform other duties as assigned.

Supply Chain and Quality Management: 60%
Responsible for On-Time and On-Quality Delivery of Supplier propulsion systems: Create and manage short-term recovery plans.
Responsible for the interface with primary Supplier: Program, Industrial, Supply Chain, and Quality Executives and Senior Management.
Responsible for analyzing Supplier's production value stream providing feedback on improvement opportunities to de-risk performance to plan.
Assess Lean Manufacturing practices and develop improvement plans.

Responsible for establishing the Supplier surveillance plan and coordinating AIRBUS participation in order to support the Supplier on on-site activities and within its supply chain. Responsible for ensuring workable end-to-end industrial planning and regular review of Supplier and its Supply Chains' Configuration Change Notifications, Multi-Sourcing Strategy, and Transfers of Work.
Monitor Tier 1 / Tier 2 suppliers in the region as necessary: Delivery & Quality performance, Capital expenditure and ramp-up action checks, recovery plan and Quality Notification eradication and if applicable completion of shop floor GEMBA.
Support the Industrial Quarterly Review (IQR) process and capacity assessments, proactively participate, anticipate planning / execution risks or opportunities and drive timely action closure.
Manage multiple, complex Supplier Quality Improvement Projects with AIRBUS and Supplier senior management.
Supplier and Stakeholder Management: 15%
Collaborate with responsible AIRBUS employees across multiple functional organizations in Europe and Propulsion Systems suppliers to secure the On-Time and On-Quality Delivery of propulsion systems.
Work with responsible propulsion systems suppliers to ensure they are implementing the necessary corrective and preventative action plans in a timely manner in support of Airbus targets.
Consolidate and maintain an outlook of key industrial, supply chain, and quality Risks & Opportunities and drive mitigation plans with the support of the responsible propulsion suppliers.
Organize and/or support business and executive reviews (Program Review Meetings, Industrial Quality Reviews, Assessments, etc.) at AIRBUS and Supplier locations.
Ensure timely communication to internal stakeholders of responsible propulsion suppliers status and risks per above assessments.
Outputs: 15%
Recurring reports / KPIs / dashboards highlighting progress, mitigated risk and opportunities.
Integration of Supply Chain activities both with other regional procurement offices and central Propulsion Operations Procurement teams.
Integrated supplier pictures of overall readiness towards required rates and review the Red / Amber during Control Tower and Industrial Reviews.
Manage deviation to defined industrial targets is managed, communicated to all stakeholders, and corrective actions implemented with Supplier through root cause and eradication methods to mitigate reoccurrence.
Supplier is in full compliance with all cascaded requirements in support of Airbus Production Organization Approval with any actions from audits and assessments closed in required timescales.
Lead and close complex, cross-functional improvement projects on-time and with expected benefits achieved.
Timely revision and update of Airbus & Supplier RASCI / Governance documents as needed.
Documented improvement in supply chain meeting contractual obligations.
Feed strategic / decisions to achieve propulsion systems and aircraft deliveries in-line with AIRBUS Multi-Functional Team strategy and AIRBUS annual production goals.
Secure Supplier annual performance improvements in accordance with agreed target letters.

Your Boarding Pass:

POSITION SUMMARY

* Maintains a current knowledge of Aircraft Service Changes (ASC), Customer Bulletins, inspection schedule requirements, vendor information and all other procedures, publications and general knowledge pertaining to aircraft maintenance and servicing.
* Supervises a continuous safety program in hangar area which includes operation of support equipment, aircraft systems and general housekeeping.
* Maintains required. logs and records.
* Enforces the company FOD, tool control, 5-S programs and all safety regulations. .
* Able to adapt to sudden schedule changes.
* Coordinates with other disciplines concerning projects.

* In support of aircraft certification and final phase testing, may include flight tests on aircraft as required. .

Other Requirements:
* Must have thorough knowledge of aircraft systems, troubleshooting, technical manuals systems, and aircraft maintenance records system.
* Preferred proficiency in the operation and troubleshooting of other aircraft systems or disciplines other than avionics, such as hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls, environmental controls or structural installations and repairs.
* Ability to read and interpret electrical/avionics system drawings and blueprints.
* Must have demonstrated leadership ability.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, implement and obtain objective with minimal direction.
* A good understanding of PC, Windows and main frame computer applications including the use of standard computer word processing programs (i.e. Microsoft Word) and appropriate typing skills a plus.
* Must be able to climb ladders and stairs, work in small-space restricted area, and lift up to 100 pounds.
* Ability to use hand tools and avionics test equipment.
* Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

This position is for 5th shift, Weekend Nights - Friday-Sunday from 6:00pm-6:30am. Prior Gulfstream aircraft experience preferred.
The compensation range for this role is $43.62 - $50.89 per hour.
Final compensation for this role will be determined by several factors including but not limited to: minimum and preferred qualifications, knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, and location.

Education and Experience Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required. 6 years aviation maintenance experience (avionics, electrical, and/or mechanical). A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license required. Valid Driver's License required.
Position Purpose:
Perform various technical functions of aircraft maintenance, repair, replacement, and modification of key aircraft components to ensure proper operation. Perform aircraft maintenance and perform troubleshooting and repair duties requiring a high degree of accuracy and skill.
Job Description
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
* Perform required. maintenance and necessary servicing of all aircraft mechanical systems .
* Repair, maintain, install, and troubleshoot mechanical and functional components of the aircraft including airframes, engine components, landing gear, electrical components, and control systems .
* Coordinate with inspection to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements .
* Properly complete work order sign-offs, shift turnovers, and other paperwork in a timely manner .
* Ensure that all work accomplished meets quality standards and specifications .
* Properly identify (tag) customer property and equipment. Store aircraft components and other customer property securely and safely .
* Follow standard operating procedures and JSAs when operating ground support equipment .
* Operate and oversee use of special support equipment used in removal and installations of major components .
* Coordinate with other departments to arrange for the overhaul or repair of customer property as needed .
Additional Functions:
* Apply 6S and Lean Initiatives to keep shops, hangars, and aircraft work areas clean .
* Properly use and maintain company-provided tools and equipment .
* Coordinate movement of aircraft, as required. .
* Maintain advanced knowledge of FAA regulations, process specifications, Repair Station and Quality Control manuals, and company policies and procedures .
Perform other duties as assigned.
Other Requirements:
* Advanced knowledge of inspection and maintenance procedures for various aircraft models and systems.
* Advanced knowledge of pertinent technical reference materials (maintenance manuals, IPCs, Service Bulletins, structural repair manuals, engineering drawings, ADS, etc.).
