Josh is the CEO and co-founder of Gusto, a startup that’s reimagining HR, payroll, and benefits for modern companies. Josh believes in the power of software to solve complex problems.

Edward Kim received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University in 2005 and 2006, respectively. While at Stanford, he was a member of the VLF (Very Low Frequency) Laboratory, where he researched man-made and naturally occurring low frequency electromagnetic wave propagation throughout the Earth's upper atmosphere.

After graduating, he worked as a Senior Project Engineer at Volkswagen Group of America Electronics Research Lab, where he led research and development for cloud-based navigation and speech recognition systems for Volkswagen and Audi.

In 2008, he joined the YCombinator program and started Picwing.com, which specializes in making it easy to send printed photos to loved ones. Picwing was acquired in 2011.

Edward is also very active in the Android community as an independent developer, having developed award-winning apps such as Car Locator.

He is a co-founder of Gusto, where he currently leads the engineering team

Alyssa Harvey Dawson is a Chief Legal Officer at Gusto and is based in New York City, New York. She has worked as Associate at Latham & Watkins, Associate General Counsel at NETFLIX INC, and Associate at Cooley. Alyssa studied at Jackson Memorial High School, Michigan State University between 1987 and 1991, and Georgetown Law between 1993 and 1996.

I lead the People Operations/HR, Internal Communications, and Environment/Workplace/Real Estate organizations at Gusto. We're on a mission to create a world where work empowers a better life. I am an innovative, strategic and business-minded People leader, and bring my experience running a global HR operation and leadership in a broad range of Human Resources functions to tech leaders who seek to make People a strategic advantage for scaling their companies. I'm not only passionate about creating a more representative and equitable tech industry, but I am known for leading companies in doing the work to making tangible progress in making their workforces more representative and diverse. Developing talent, teams and leaders, building organizations, and leading organizations to shape and drive an intentional culture is my jam. I work with leaders to scale companies in a way we are all proud of.

Fredrick “Flee” Lee is the chief security officer of Gusto, where he leads information and physical security strategies including consumer protection, compliance, governance and risk. Before Gusto, Flee led global information security and privacy efforts at large financial services companies and technology startups for more than 15 years, most recently as Square’s head of information security. He previously held senior security and privacy roles at Bank of America, Betfair, NetSuite and Twilio. Flee holds a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from the University of Oklahoma.

Lexi Reese is the chief operating officer of Gusto, where she leads the company’s business teams, including Marketing, Sales, Customer Experience, and Business Operations. Before joining Gusto, she worked at Google, most recently as the vice president of global programmatic sales and strategy. Prior to Google, she led a variety of small business marketing, acquisition and operations efforts at American Express.

I lead a team of over 100 UX leaders, product designers, researchers, content strategists, and UX developers who are working to build great experiences for Shopify merchants.
